I went to the lounge. It was nice and relaxing with a piano player. The service was great. The food was great. I hadn't been there in a long time and it looks like it has gone through renovations and would be a nice place to stay.

Our room had issues. Toilet broken and the sink cracked. Had to call room service for towels and clothes hangers. Plus tissues. They said they upgraded everything but they obviously didn't do the room we stayed at. The service was good though I must say the people were nice. It was quiet and the dining room served great gluten-free foods. Couldn't see out the windows very good I don't think they even clean them this year very dirty on the outside. I wish they just would put more effort into the rooms.

Do not recommend staying here. The first room we checked into had some sort of red stains that appeared to be blood on the bed spread so we requested a new room. The second room we checked into had a bed bug in it, which when brought to the front desk staff they even confirmed it was a bed bug. Another family member staying in a different part of the hotel said they could smell people smoking what they believed to be crack in another room somewhere near theirs. The location seemed good and convenient for events downtown but was not a safe and inviting area. Staff were wonderful throughout the experience, with a quick refund, despite it being my worst hotel stay to date. I have learnt to always ask to check the room before paying since this incident as the reviews seemed to show it would be a clean, comfortable stay and it was far from that.
