Le théâtre est bien équipé, et nous avons été bien accueilli. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut autour! On a hâte de revenir voir d’autres spectacles.

What an absolute gem we have right here on Vancouver Island! The Chemainus Theatre continues to impress, and our recent afternoon there was no exception.

We started with lunch at the Playbill Dining Room buffet—everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The service was warm and attentive, adding to the overall experience.

Then came the show, and it was simply outstanding. The incredible singing talent and energy of the performers brought the entire production to life. Their voices, stage presence, and commitment to every moment were truly remarkable. It is hard to believe we have access to this level of talent so close to home.

We are so fortunate to have such an amazing venue on Vancouver Island, offering a complete experience that blends wonderful dining with world-class theatre. If you have not been, do yourself a favour and go—it is a gift to have this in our own backyard.

I've only been to the theatre twice, but I can say that this is a small but beautiful theatre, meant for more intimate shows where audience interaction is intended. While waiting to enter, there is a small park outside with a water feature.

I purchase 3 shows every year and am never disappointed. The buffet always has excellent choices. The theatre seating is comfortable and I get premium seating, although I doubt there is a bad seat in the house. The gift shop never ceases to amaze me with the beautiful, top quality items. Definitely 5 stars!

Always heard good things about this theatre and came to see for ourselves. Everything was perfect. Ticket arrangements, hotel partnerships, the food was superb. The shows entertainment, story and singing, were a cut above. Very comfortable theatre, good views and good seats, with a nice atmosphere. Great front of house staff, buffet dinner, gift shop, good parking and understand season tickets are available. Respecting the requests for no picture taking of stage, or performance in the theatre. Would definitely return.

Fabulous theatre. Located in a prominent spot as you enter town from the south with plenty of parking on the road in and the surrounding streets. Always terrific, live performances. Steeply tiered, comfortable seats, so all seats have a great view of the stage. Some shows have a dinner before the show (added cost, buffet style).

Attended the Footloose production. Cast were all super strong at acting, dancing, and singing. Far surpassed expectations. The theatre has a lovely bar upstairs to grab a drink at intermission and a gift shop and ice cream bar on the main floor. We didn’t go to the pre-dinner buffet but the audience members beside us did and were happy with it.
