Super tour de bateau, personnel très amical et point bonus: la visite a eu lieu même si nous n'étions que 9 passagers (capacité de 350!).

J'ai adoré les informations données au sujet des îles Manitou, mais je m'attendais honnêtement à plus.... ça vaut quand même le coup, mais ça serait tellement agréable d'en apprendre encore plus sur la riche histoire de la région, plutôt que d'avoir en bruit de fond un poste de radio.

A wonderful Sunday afternoon activity! We chose the short manitou islands trip because we have a small child but it was perfect and relaxing! The food on board was a huge bonus and the facilities were spotless!! Employees were friendly and hardworking, wiping every table after someone got up after eating. Just a wonderful thing to do with kids after riding the carousel and train across the road.

We were staying at the KOA in Sturgeon Falls and looking for a unique experience outside of the campground.
We found it, and we loved it!
My wife and I are both vegan, and rarely do we get the chance to book a meal during an excursion that caters to our choices, but the Chief Commanda II not only met, but exceeded our hopes.
We pre-booked our tickets for the sunset dinner cruise and selected the vegan meals option. You never know how this will go, but on this occasion. it went off without a hitch.
Incredible staff, great food, perfect weather and a clear skies equaled an evening to remember.
Next time we're in the area for a stay we'll be booking again!

Oh and FYI we arrived earlier than expected and went to "The Boat" for a pre cruise cocktail. This stop added to the experience in a great way. Check this spot out!

Wow, the Chief Commanda II cruise in North Bay was just epic! Gliding on Lake Nipissing with those unreal views was something else. The boat itself is super cool, and you can see pretty much 360 views all around - perfect for snapping pics and just soaking it all in.

The crew? Absolute legends. Super friendly, really made us feel welcome, and they knew tons about North Bay’s spots and stories, which was a nice touch. Made the trip feel more like hanging out with friends who just happen to know all the best stories about where you’re at.

Food and drinks were on point too. Good stuff to munch on and drinks to keep you chill as you cruise. It’s all laid-back and just adds to the whole vibe.

What’s great about this cruise is it’s got a bit of everything. Whether you’re into checking out the sights, love your history, or just wanna kick back and take in the beauty of North Bay from the water, this hits the spot.

Highly recommend hopping on the Chief Commanda II if you’re around North Bay and looking for a cool way to spend a day. It’s not just a boat ride; it’s like a mini getaway right in your backyard. Already thinking about when I can go back!

We had a fantastic time! We were seated on the second level. We opted for the fish and the chicken. Both were good entrees. Chicken is stuffed and more filling. The food was good, we didn’t go hungry. Keeping with the other reviews - our potatoes were cold too, unless you eat them first. With the wind blowing through the ship, it’s inevitable the food will cool off quicker. Tarter sauce a bit too tart for me, and coleslaw not tart enough. Some tables had bottles of water, we didn’t get one, maybe we should have asked? There was a very generous slice of chocolate cake at the end that was delicious, yet rich, neither of us couldn’t finish it. The staff were really friendly. It was fun to chat with other passengers. The views and the sunset were awesome. Washrooms are clean and easy to access on the second level. I recommend bringing binoculars. Happy we went! We would go again.

Went on the evening sunset cruise. Not crowded. Snack selection is a bit small, so plan to order from the grill or buy the 3 course dinner to eat on the second floor dining space. Nice for kids too.

Ordered fish and chips (4/5) and chicken tenders 5/5). Fries were pretty good (4/5). Portions were substantial - well worth the price.
