The City of St. John's Visitor Center is a very useful and informative center for travelers exploring Newfoundland. Located near George Street, this Visitor Center is a must visit for helpful staff and wealth of knowledge for the area.

Inside the center, a welcoming vibe greeted all visitors. The staff members showed genuine friendliness and a deep understanding of local events. Andrew, one of the center's host, was a helpful and knowledgeable individual. He generously shared insights about the region's events and attractions. The presence of a handwritten display detailing daily weather and temperature was a thoughtful touch. There is access to the public washroom if visitors need but requires key access. There was a large amount of brochures and pamphlets that showcased surrounding areas in Newfoundland. It was a valuable resource for travelers seeking to explore St. John's and the surrounding area.

Also, Andrew recommended the website, Iceberg Finder, allowing visitors to track and even submit iceberg sightings while travelling through Newfoundland. Don't forget to sign the guestbook!

Monet and Loureen were so kind, friendly and informative! They had great tips for self guided walking tours and places to see!
I highly recommend stopping here when you get into town to make the most of the time you have in St John's.

We visited the St. John's Visitors Center on Monday while we was docked for our port day. It was conveniently about a 10 minute walk from the cruise ship dock. Upon entering the Visitors center we were quickly greeted by two friendly staff members. They were able to quickly provide us with alot of useful information. They pointed out the local tourist attractions, and we was able to pretty much walk everywhere.

Unfortunately the person we encountered was like a bunny on steroids, they were more interested in talking about their experiences on food trips to Europe. They did highlight things on a map unfortunately a lot of the places were eateries, nothing about where we go to see the iconic coloured houses of St Johns, nor about the Regatta nor anywhere outside of St. John’s, this is the Capital Of Newfoundland and Labrador, surely more information should be available outside of the city, what about whale watching and icebergs for example. We found more information on Google, such a disappointing visit

The center is in a great location and we visited twice to get information or to wait for a tour. The staff is fantastic and very knowledgeable. I spoke with Andrew that gave us a grand amount of details about Newfoundland and a variety of exclusions we can do. We also talked about different travel within canada. Glad we made the stop !
