Excellent Stay at Coast Hinton Hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at Coast Hinton Hotel! Everything was perfect – from the friendly and helpful staff to the clean and comfortable rooms. The hotel has a great location, making it convenient for exploring the area.

The room was well-equipped, and very clean, with a comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. We also appreciated the quiet and cozy atmosphere of the hotel.

Overall, we had an excellent experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Where to begin, well we started in the honeymoon suite. Tv didnt work in the bedroom(it wasnt even plugged into coax or internet and didnt have a feed for it.) Jacuzzi was FULL of hair and soap scum, shower also grew hair and had unidentifiable streaks of lord knows what on the CEILING, room was set to 85 degrees and couldn't change it even though they said we could, the ac stopped working on the second day, floors were FULL of crumbs and other human mess, made the brave and instantly mistaken move to look under the couch and bed(YUCK). A used darkened white towel was behind the bed. We got moved to another room our last night here after the concierge told us to book our already decided on additional night on the 14th, after we told her we want to book it now as we checked in, she declined and when it came to booking on the 14th, as I said, we got moved to another room which; had hair on the bed, fake eyelashes on the ground in the bathroom, hair EVERYWHERE for that matter and again random crumbs and other goobies that would otherwise have been picked up by a vacuum if their cleaners have such devices. And the jacuzzi in that room also had streaks and hair in it. Absolutely astounding consistency, I'll give them that. How would I describe this hotel? Poorly managed with a ghost cleaning crew.

Stayed there in Nov 2024. A bit nervous after reading a number of bad reviews. The only problem we had was upon arriving, our room thermostat was not working properly and the room was too hot. Contacted the front desk and they offered us a room 3 doors away which worked just fine. A slight inconvenience but a short move and before we had really got settled in. And service was very quick and friendly. No other problems, and the continental breakfast had great variety of cereals, eggs, sausages, hashbrowns, coffee, tea, juices, etc. Also a restaurant where we had supper, and a grocery store across the street. One note on rates...turns out the rate they advertised was in USD. They should have specified.

A very clean hotel with comfortable beds, new sheets and pillows. While this is an older hotel with a slightly dated interior, they've done some cosmetic renovations. Still, the hotel is in need of a complete renovation for the bathrooms, HVAC, and to address the slight mildew smell. The staff were very friendly and provided good customer service. There was a complimentary breakfast included, though it was very basic. There is a grocery store across the street and several places to eat nearby. Considering everything I don't believe it is worth the rate being charged by this hotel. If they lowered their prices this would be a good budget location.

If you have stayed in a nice coast hotel like Prince George, then prepare to be underwhelmed. This place looks nice on the outside and even in the lobby, but the rooms have a subpar motel like vibe. Nothing terrible but definitely not on brand for coast hotels. Breakfast was laughable. There is a small amount of food and at least 2 groups were observed bringing in their own food. Judging from the reviews over several years, the manager seems to be apologetic and trying to meet expectations, however people have been complaining about the same things for years. No change noted.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We were heading from BC to Alberta and the night before our stay here, Jasper (the route we were taking) got emergency evacuated due to wildfires so we decided to not go anymore. The manager would not refund our room even when we explained the situation and was not understanding at all. Considering the evacuation zone was halfway between Hinton and jasper you would think there would be some compassion and sympathy but not at all here. Never again booking with them.

We love staying at Coast hotels , but this one in Hinton deff needs some upgrading . It’s in a great location just 30 mins from Jasper and is dog friendly which is nice ! But the free breakfast was just toast and cereal , and the rooms are extremely outdated . They did have new smart TVs in our room which is nice to stream shows/movies , and the Korean Restaurant attached to the hotel is very good . Overall , staff was nice, and would make for a great place to stay just for 1 night if you’re passing through and want to save a few dollars . If you’re used to other coast hotels , this one does NOT feel like a coast hotel branded hotel.

This must have been the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The hotel price was extremely overpriced for what it was (basically motel quality). Upon arrival we waited at least 10 minutes for any one to greet us and the service was unfriendly. Our room didn’t have a working lock chain, the room was poor quality and overall we were very dissatisfied given the fact that one night cost us almost $350. We won’t be returning or recommending.
