We quite enjoyed our experience. Even though the campground is basically inside the town, they've done a good job making sure it still feels like you're camping. And being in town has its' advantages because you're minutes away from all the amenities and unsung bonus, we had a very good cell signal through Rogers which for me is a big part of a positive camping experience. I am not a fan of being "off the grid".

The beach at the campsite is really nice and we were here during the week so it wasnt very busy. Not sure about weekends. Bring your slides or Crocs though because the beach and shallow end is not soft and sandy, there are lots of sharp rocks. The swimming area itself is great, our kids spent hours in the lake and it felt safe and clean which is not typical of Alberta lakes we've visited. It is Cold Lake so it's a little chilly when you first get in but the weather was nice and you do eventually get used to it.

Just a few blocks away from the campground is the main Cold Lake Beach which is really nice with a spray park and a concession and a huge sandy beach with a zipline and kayak rentals on site that made for a spectacular day.

The town of Cold Lake was clean, felt safe, had all the bells and whistles. We checked out some museums and some farmers market in Bonnyville and the Casino is great. We will most certainly be back!

Its our first time to camp here.
A22 is our site. We love it and we will be back again and again. My kids enjoyed nd my husband catched fish. Site are clean and the water is also clean. Theres a washroom and shower. Perfect site for camping. Edmonton to coldlake is only 3hrs and 18mnts and you will have perfect camping😁

Update: yes we came back again😁 for our second time of camping our site no. A16.
It was amazing the site is so big for us. I wish i have some friends or family to come with us with this big site.

1) i want to thank the care taker for doing good job. The wash room are clean, they are friendly and always smiling with us.

2) the site is clean

3) in the middle of the night my husband woke up and he saw security guard. Its nice to know that you felt secure in this site.

This campground is our favorite in the list. Im sure every year we will comeback.its nice to stay here and my kids also happy🥰

Beautiful campground. Some sites a little tricky to get into but most are large and very well treed.
Washrooms were clean. Outhouse lite and clean.
If you look closely in one of the pics...we even had a Christmas tree, all decorates.

Great campground with friendly staff and clean facilities. My second season visiting this campground and I absolutely will come back here.

One of the best campgrounds I've been to! Sites are very tidy and well spaced, and close to the lake. Lots of awesome fishing opportunities nearby. Walk-in tent loop is gorgeous. When I arrived at my campsite they had a welcome sign with my name on it as a very nice touch!

Awesome place to go camping. Reasonable rates, amazing sites. Great view of the lake from our campsite. Only downside is showers are still closed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Staff was quite friendly, and accommodating. The lake has crystal clear water, but is a tad on the cold side. We were lucky enough to be there when the weather was plus 36 degrees. I believe it was the hottest day of the year in cold lake while we were there. The lake was very refreshing. The public beach also has a zip line directly into the water which the kids found fantastic.

Campgrounds are clean and the washrooms are well maintained. We also liked the water, its clear and doesnt smell. Lots of thing to do too. Definitely will be coming back next year.
