Fantastic experience!! Our kids had a great birthday experience.. the horses and ponies were extremely gentle with the kids and you can see how well all the animals have been taken care of. Josh was extremely patient with the kids. Will definitely come back and recommend this place to our friends!! Cheers..

Daughter has been coming to Coquitlam Equestrian for over a year now.
She has gotten excellent coaching which has taken her riding to new heights. She has bonded with a wonderful horse.
Would highly Recommend Coquitlam equestrian to all levels of riders, they have a coach who is great with children and beginners, and a coach for more advanced riding. Both coaches very friendly and positive, lots of horses for all levels of riders.

Exceptional horse care at this family friendly facility. The well being of the ponies and horses is first and foremost. The horses and ponies have access to large, well maintained paddocks and shelters with excellent individualized feed and care programs. The lesson schedule is organized in ways that promote the overall physical and mental health of the ponies and horses, so they are at their very best for the children and adults who come to learn and benefit from all things equestrian.

I have been with CEC for about 2 years now, and my experience has been fantastic. The owners and staff genuinely care about their horses and have a lot of patience with their riders. Josh has a wonderful temperament, and always makes me feel at ease and safe during lessons. When I raise any issues I may have, they take the time to listen and accommodate wherever possible. Keep up the great work CEC!

I cannot recommend this place enough. We originally came her for my daughter's birthday party. I spent a long time researching places in the lower mainland that offered birthday party programming that also had horses that were well cared for and that the programming contained an educational focus, teaching kids the why behind horses, rather than just plopping them on and having them get lead in a circle. CEC delivered exactly that. The experience was so good that we decided to enroll my daughter in lessons here.
The quality of the coaching is excellent and the coaches themselves are kind, patient, and deeply focused on a positive learning environment. There is a lot of emphasis on personal responsibility and learning to care for the horse as a partner, rather than a tool. A truly wonderful place for anyone to learn riding and proper horsemanship.

This is such a hidden gem! We had a birthday party there, and it was one of the best experiences for the birthday kid and her friends. They got to have fun and be active in the practice and play area, they met horses and ponies and rode them, there was so much excitement and happiness it made me wish I were a kid 🙂 The horses and ponies are very mellow and friendly, so even the kids who were a bit shy or cautious at first got to enjoy the rides. The coach party leader did an amazing job entertaining the kids while making sure everyone learnt how to be safe and have lots of fun at the same time. We had kids age 4 through 8, and they all had a blast. I was worried about the rainy weather, but I shouldn’t have, since the kids ride and play inside a huge barn, so it can be booked any season of the year.

Very happy we found Coquitlam Equestrian! We started lessons in February when Cassie and Josh took over! We had an amazing experience from day one. (Something we had not had at a previous riding school). As an educator myself, I am very appreciative of Josh and Cassie’s enthusiasm, patience and commitment to building rapport with their students and having fun while teaching riding skills and horsemanship! Cassie and Josh have turned a very withered property into a much more vibrant, welcoming and professional facility. I have enjoyed observing their growth over the past few months! Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for riding lessons, summer camps or pro D opportunities! Also must give a shout to Zelda, Yoshi, Toad, Peaches, Ravioli and Daisy who all greet us enthusiastically for our weekly lessons! Charlotte loves it there!
