We stayed in a 2 bedroom (208) for 2 nights. Great to have such a convenient location to the lifts. The condo was clean and well laid out. It was stocked very well however, not with large knives for preparing foods.
The refrigerator needs replacement or repair as it did not keep the food cold and took 2 days to make a single try of ice.
Beds and bedding were comfortable and plentiful. Underground parking with equipment lockers was provided.
Definitely would stay here again.

We stayed here for a few days over the New Years period, and overall liked the room. ||||The location is ideal - better ski in/out than anywhere else on the hill. The room we stayed in - the Premium Two Bedroom Suite - was really wonderful (as it should be for the price!), with huge amounts of space, very comfortable beds, well-outfitted kitchen, and a lovely living room. The building itself is "self-serve" (no front desk), but the staff were always available if we phoned with a question or request. The underground parkade and ski lockers were also great.||||Two small critiques, and one booking suggestion. First, the master bedroom only had horizontal blinds - no curtains - which did not fully block the incoming light of the village plaza. For my wife, who likes it dark to sleep, this was a bit of an issue. Second, the heater in the living room also has a side vent into the second bedroom, which can't be shut off. So if you want to heat the main living space, you may also end up over-heating the bedroom. We just used the fireplace, and avoided the electric heater, so it was fine.||||The key booking suggestion is to avoid rooms (like ours) which face the village plaza. The Griz bar is directly across from these rooms, and all the accompanying noise from the bar can be heard in the room. Similarly, anything happening in the plaza is quite audible. You will be awake until the last loud-talking people leave the plaza, and up in the morning as soon as they start playing the loud rock music in the plaza. If you are young and/or enjoy the party scene, this is a good location. If not, request a room facing the hill instead.

This was not my first choice to book our ski vacay, but serendipity stepped in and this is where we found openings when we needed them. I liked the internet pics but fell for the place when we walked in the room. Although my wife and I would like an outdoor hot tub rather then the indoor one, this was minor when considering the other amenities at our fingertips, including underground parking and ski lockers, full amenity apartments, effortless ski in/out, great views from our windows/balcony and great sleep quality with the beds. Everything was just so close at hand !! The staff and people around the resort are typically friendly and the alpine village is a peaceful place to hang out. The front desk folks were very friendly and welcoming getting things off on the right foot the moment you drive up. As a family of 4, we had a thoroughly enjoyable ski holiday ( and we've skied here several times) and would like to think the Cornerstone was the icing on the cake of that enjoyment. Future considerations may very well place this lodge at the top of the list for us.

We booked here for the location. Have previously stayed a couple years ago so we knew it was the perfect family spot to walk out the door and be on the ski hill. The positives are the heated garage underground, lots of towels for family. We stayed in suite 307 which was a 2 bedroom premium suite.||||The condo is in serious need of upgrading. The carpet is old and dirty. The couch was ripped through on the arms. The kitchen has most of what you need but a real mixture of utensils, cups and plates. The coffee pot has not seen a cleaning for a lone time as well as the kettle which had so much calcium build up we decided to buy coffee and hot cholchlate on the hill instead of making it. The beds are hard as a rock, even my kids complained about the uncomfortable beds. Probably the most disappointing for us was the first night we went to turn on the fireplace. Well it did not work at all. My husband looked at it and we were shocked at how much lint and dust were underneath it. Major fire hazard. This fireplace has not worked in a long time. Management must have known that it is not working. Really upsetting seeing we had booked the premium suite. Nothing premium here. Washer and dryer are nice to have. However the dryer had a disgusting stain of some kind in it that we ended up hanging the clothes up to dry. ||||Overall we had a good visit but this was because of the great snow on the hill not the lodge. Next time we will definitely return to lizard creek which is newer and better kept up. A little bit of money invested into the suites could go a long way to update things and they could then charge more money in the long run.

We always really enjoy our stays at The Cornerstone Lodge. The condos are very clean, cozy, bright, accessible and well stocked. Most have beautiful views and the value is excellent. ||||We enjoy the energy here. You can watch the life bustling below with a bevy on the balcony or close everything out, have a hot tub then curl up by the fireplace in peaceful quiet. Waking up to the views from the big bedroom windows breaths new life into everyday. ||||The staff was very friendly, accommodating and gave great tips on things of interest to us in the surrounding area. Especially Bryannah!||||You’ll be very happy staying here!

A pretty nice location on the mountain, but this is a ski lodge in need of renovation. Some thoughtful touches - well equipped kitchen, soap for dishwasher and clothes washer. But only every 2nd day servicing of the rooms, and only if you request it ahead of time. Lots of little things - air conditioners only worked intermittently, very hot and humid all the time (despite outdoor temperatures being in the teens). Many lightbulbs burnt out, lots of marks of the walls, carpet very worn, shower faucets barely functioning. On the other hand, price was reasonable, underground parking available, and it was pretty quiet.

Recently stayed at the cornerstone lodge. This property is right at the base of the chair lift & our room offered an exceptional view of the ski hill. Nice spacious room that was nice & clean. |Underground parking was convenient. |Dining options were within walking distance on the ski hill.

My friend and I stayed at the Cornerstone Lodge on a Sunday night while in Fernie. The front desk was extremely accommodating with my late check in, as my friend and I had a rafting activity leaving when we were due to check in. I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the both the The Griz (where we checked in) and Cornerstone Lodge; I've stayed at many hotels that don't put a lot of effort into that so it was nice to see that they hold themselves to such high standards here.

Our condo was absolutely breathtaking; it had vaulted ceilings and our balcony faced the mountain which was perfect for the meteor shower. Air conditioning was an added bonus as we hit high 30s this weekend.

Conveniently, there's a Kelsey's restaurant right there on site; our server was very polite and our food arrived quickly and was amazing.

I would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone visiting or passing through Fernie!
