I had a really bad experience with Cypress Fords and want to share it so others don’t go through the same thing. We bought a truck from them that ended up needing over $3,000 in parts and 14 hours of labor almost immediately after getting it home. None of those issues were mentioned beforehand, which they absolutely should’ve been.

We dealt with Garnet, who didn’t take our concerns seriously and didn’t seem too surprised when the problems started showing up. When we went to pick up the truck we had chosen online, it was missing several features that were clearly listed. One of the staff claimed the website was wrong—should’ve been a red flag. We gave them the benefit of the doubt—big mistake.

They told us they were including a warranty to make up for the missing features. But in reality, they gave us $3,000 off the price for the missing options and added the warranty at the end of the discussion—as if they already knew the truck was going to need repairs. It didn’t feel like a goodwill gesture; it felt like damage control.

They also made an offhand comment that really stuck with us—when we questioned the administrative fee, they told us that it is a mandatory fee and to "think of it as the owner's golfing fund." That kind of attitude just shows how unseriously they take the customer experience.

After the sale, we tried contacting them multiple times, left messages, and gave them every opportunity to make things right. We never got a response—just silence. They showed zero accountability or interest in helping us after the deal was done.

My wife also left a review explaining our experience, and instead of owning up to anything, they blamed us—as if we somehow knew about all the issues and still decided to go ahead with the purchase. Their response was dismissive and unprofessional.

If you look through their reviews, you’ll notice a pattern: the majority of the negative ones are about used vehicles, while the positive reviews are all tied to new vehicle sales. That alone should raise some serious red flags.

Thankfully, Merlin Ford in Saskatoon stepped up and helped us out. Even they were shocked that the truck was sold in such poor condition. If the warranty hadn’t been included, we would’ve been stuck paying thousands out of pocket ourselves.

Save yourself the stress—avoid Cypress Fords. It’s just not worth the risk.

We had an awful experience with Cypress Fords and want to warn others before they go through the same. We purchased a truck that turned out to be a total money pit—it needed over $3,000 in parts and 14 hours of labor right after we brought it home. That kind of hidden damage should’ve been disclosed up front, but of course, it wasn’t.
We dealt with Garnet, who brushed off our concerns and didn’t seem all that surprised when issues started popping up. When we showed up to purchase the truck we had specifically picked out online, it was missing several of the features that were clearly listed. One of the employees claimed the “website administrator made a mistake.” That should’ve been a red flag, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt—big mistake.
Either they failed to inspect the truck properly or they knew exactly what they were selling. It felt dishonest, and we left feeling scammed.
We’re grateful to Merlin Ford in Saskatoon, who were able to help us out and were just as surprised as we were that the truck was sold in such poor condition. That says a lot.
Save yourself the headache—avoid Cypress Fords.

Update: they responded saying they tried to reach out but when we tried calling multiple times no response. They gave us warranty due to missing features and did not mention issues with the truck when we purchased. Definitely a communication error on their end.

10 out of 10 Service, I came in at lunch time and the reception was on lunch. The Sales staff helped me find what I was looking for, even though Lunch was on they dropped everything to help. I can’t wait to pick up the Ford Expedition at 2:00pm today 🙂

The staff is all top notch they are willing to go the extra mile .I came to them in a bad way with a dead truck on the side of the road with a trailer on it .they made sure I had everything I needed to get back on the road quick and looked after everything with the dead truck .The best service I have had in a long time and just some genuinely good people .I can’t say enough good things about all the great people I met in swift current that went out of there way to help us get back on the road .Definitely left a great impression on my entire family that will won’t forget .
