Moonlight shone in the windows of the building where all the books were kept. Nestled beside Legends Barber Shop, the unassuming brick storefront was easy to miss. In modest letters, the lit sign read Dartmouth Book Exchange, with a neon open sign above the door. To most passersby, the place was neither remarkable nor inviting. To a select society, who listened to the whispers of friends and followed the store on social media, it was their happy place, a treasure trove for book lovers. The space inside was much bigger than what could be discerned from the outside, and the shelves were exceptionally organized. The women working behind the counter were highly knowledgeable, and supportive of the local craft, and with a little whispered magic, they ensured their customer’s book needs were met. BEST BOOKSTORE EVER! I stopped here on my way home and suddenly 2 hours had passed. We'll organized, great selection, good prices, friendly staff. Good spot for self-shopping and finding gifts. In addition to used books, they sell local tea, tote bags, and book accessories. Liked the "blind date with a book" selection (and price) as well. This store will be a new staple visit whenever I am in the area!

Lots and lots of great books here...loads of room to look around.. helpful staff(the lady that was there she was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction) you'll need a lot of time to cruise around so many books... great prices...all books were in fabulous condition. Doesn't sell really old books though if you're looking for that. But definitely lots to choose from.

Fantastic bookstore. Staff are amazing, they remember you, they recommend books. Keep track of what is in store, you emails when you are added to a waitlist for a book. Many events to get you into more books. Local authors visit the store for you to meet

One of my absolute favourite places. Used bookstores are often stuffed but dirty or empty but clean, and this gem manages to be both stuffed and clean. Everything is so well organized and charming and the staff are incredible. They even have a digital inventory system which is so rare for used bookstores. The absolute best!!

Always so much to look through, and they have an amazing system for searching up specific books! They might not have it in stock (it obviously varies with what people bring in), but they can find an answer very quickly!
