My husband and I stayed here for a quick escape from the world and we couldn’t have been happier. Sara, our host was engaging, helpful and flexible. The dome was fitted with any amenity you would want. It was beyond comfortable, quiet, impeccably clean and offered a beautiful and unique ‘glamping’ dome. Sara asked us our ETA so she could start our fireplace which was such a nice touch. She met us and explained everything we needed to know for our stay. The little details explained patiently and we felt so comfortable there. The ambience is one of a kind, the huge bed was fitted with the comfiest linens and even had an electric blanket you could control on each side of the bed. Chargers for phones, candles, kitchen supplies, drinking water, playing cards, lighters for the bbq and fire, towels etc.
Sara is the ultimate host and her property is a little piece of heaven nestled away off the beaten path. There is also a little bunkie cabin as an alternate and the main house of a bigger group. A great place for a fun group getaway or a quiet, romantic solo escape.

We stayed in October, 2024 at the Geodome with our little dog and had the coziest, loveliest stay! It happened to be the first snow of the season and the property was serene and beautiful. It was wonderful to recharge and just enjoy a fire and snuggling up. We spent some time in the communal barn also for its amenities. Sara was wonderful in that she communicated with clear instructions in advance, and also checked up to ensure we were fine upon arrival and during our stay (but not too much - she was so respectful, even ensuring her dogs and our dog who is not friendly, did not bump into each other!). If you are looking for a place to rest, clear your head, enjoy some quiet and natural beauty, we highly recommend Sara's Deer Lake Wilderness Retreat!

Had the most incredible weekend at the Glamping Dome at Deer Lake Wilderness Resort!

From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The location is stunning—a peaceful, beautiful escape in nature with a cozy and spotless geodome that made our stay unforgettable.

Sara went above and beyond! She arranged a super romantic setup for us and even sent over a qualified instructor after we reserved the dome. The guidance was top-notch, walking us through everything from zero to 100% so we felt completely at ease.

And let’s talk about warmth and no need to worry about the cold here! With a fireplace, gas heaters, and electric blankets, we stayed toasty and comfortable the entire time. They truly thought of everything to make our stay effortless and enjoyable.

Huge thanks to Sara for being such an amazing host. we’ll definitely be back soon!

What an AMAZING experience! Everything was so well organized, well labelled and totally picture perfect! The bed in the loft is soo comfy and the whole cabin has such a homey cozy vibe! The trails were well marked, the outhouse was extremely clean and the wood was well stocked!

We can’t wait for the next time!!

We had an amazing glamping experience at Deer Lake Wilderness Retreat! Sara, was extremely helpful and welcoming. She took the time to walk us through the entire property and showed us all the amenities. The property itself was beautiful and impeccably clean. At night, we were treated to a stunning view of the stars and even spotted the Milky Way!

The barbecue area was fantastic—fully stocked with everything we needed to grill and cook our meals. The bed was cozy, and the retreat was just a short drive from Mikisew Provincial Park, which was made even more convenient with the free vehicle permit provided by Sara.

We highly recommend this retreat for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway!

Best couples trip we've ever had, our experience staying in the Geodome exceeded all expectations. I dont know which part my fiance loved more; Making smores in the fireplace stove, stargazing outside and inside, the lights and lanters inside the dome. It was all fantastic. Sara was able to answer any questions I had leading up to our stay and everything was prepared and ready when we got there. 10/10 would glady go again

I was here earlier this month celebrating my birthday, in need of a recharge, reconnect type of birthday this year. It was everything and more! Sara the host made sure I had everything I needed and was always so prompt at answering my questions. I stayed in the Stargazer geodome it was so beautiful, the most comfiest bed and I def overpacked because the room had everything I needed. I will definitely visit again!

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Geo dome and it was truly the best. It was so cozy and we loved turning off from the world for the weekend. The wood stove was a great feature and made the dome for sure, and obviously the skylight as well. It was super clean and Sara was on the ball with anything we needed. Great stay!

Go up
