The place is surrounded by pure nature and is very peaceful, with few crowds, which makes it great for those who enjoy quiet spots. I mainly visited to take some photos – it’s a nice location for that.

There aren’t many facilities around, so it’s a good idea to bring your own food, drinks, and anything else you might need to enjoy the day. Unfortunately, I did notice some people had left garbage behind. It’s important that everyone takes responsibility and carries out what they bring in.

Overall, not a “wow” experience, but still a good spot for a quiet getaway or a photo session in nature.

So much beach! Beautiful white sand for miles. The lake is very shallow off of this beach. You can walk out for 500m and the water will only be up to your knees. Great place to bring the kids for the day. There is no store or concession near by so come prepared.

Devonshire Beach, just north of Slave Lake, is absolutely majestic. When we visited, the clouds were rolling in, the waves were gently pushing toward the shore, and it all felt incredibly peaceful — like something out of a painting.

This is a very big lake, and the beach is something else. The sand is ultra fine — worn down over the years until it almost looks like it came straight from a luxury golf course. It’s soft, clean, and stretches on for quite a distance.

The grasses and reeds growing up from the sand give it a bit of a “Hamptons” vibe — but you’re smack in the middle of Alberta. Just gorgeous.

There are multiple beach spots along the road, each with its own character. Honestly, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to stop, breathe it in, and just enjoy the view.

Wonderful, wonderful place.

I recommend visiting with a family. It is safe with children - the depth is far. The bottom and the beach are cleared. There is a toilet, a garbage bin, parking, tables, a small canopy. I think people with disabilities can go down the ramp. There are other beaches nearby, but there are branches. Entry with animals is prohibited.

The beach needs maintenance. It was such a beautiful beach 3 years ago. Now there are broken logs all over place, tree branches and messy beach.

Absolutely beautiful beach with nice views and soft sand. The water is clean and relatively chilly at around 10⁰ (50⁰F) making it a good place to swim and cool off in the summer.
