Pleasantly surprised!

The staff has been very lovely. Room was very spacious and everywhere had been very clean. Gym was small but in good condition with everything I needed. I have to say I’ve never eaten at a hotel more than once, let alone thought positively enough to write a review but the meals have been a surprisingly blessing here for someone traveling for work with little time to venture out!

Spent one night at this beautiful hotel and was very impressed. Located in the city centre, it was extremely clean and well taken care of. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The very spacious well equipped room on the 9th floor had a magnificent view of the city skyline, also with view of the river valley. Prices were reasonable, restaurant was pleasant, underground parking was $35 but that seems to be normal for the hotels in the area. Highly recommend the hotel.

Hotel was clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I had some technical difficulties due to dead batteries. First the thermostat in my room, causing the temperature to drop about 5° overnight. The batteries were completely corroded and crusty.
Then I went to warm up in the hot tub and the card reader for the hot tub door wasn't working. Staff said that might need new batteries too.
Staff handled the situation well but the thermostat issue was preventable. There is a battery icon on the screen that showed the battery was low. That's the only reason I knew to check but the cover doesn't come off easily and is probably something staff should be doing when they clean the rooms. If the battery icon looks full, no need to take the cover off at all. If it's blinking with a low battery icon, replace them before they corrode. It'll probably make those thermostats last longer too, not having crusty batteries in them.
It's close to the downtown red arrow bus depot so if you're busing in with no vehicle (or taking the bus from the airport) for a convention or similar event, it's a great location.

Their reviews were terrible, they likely lost the Hyatt brand, switched to Hilton, and created a new Google Maps business instead of updating the existing one. I just realized this as I’m writing this review.

We paid for a suite and asked for a quiet room, so we were put on the top floor at the end of the hall, which we appreciate very much, but right under the HVAC plant on the roof, and the furnace in the room was ridiculously loud and woke us up every time it kicked in, in the dead of winter, so we didn’t get much sleep. I wore ear plugs and put a second pillow on top of my head, but the HVAC plant and furnace were still just as loud due to the frequency and vibrations. The furnace access panel is screwed to the wall, and has enough old screw holes in it to show it’s clearly been serviced many times, but seems to need another one. I’ve also had landlords who paint better.

I can tell that this place was nice when it was first built. Lots of windows, and a nice view, which I love. Given the artistic geometry of the outside windows, I can see one of the window seals flapping in the breeze.

The mattress was good.

There are 6 lamps in the room, but only one little bulb by the door on a switch, so checking into the room in the dark is a long journey down a dark hallway, feeling the walls for switches that don’t exist.

There’s also an awkward absence of coat hooks / tree, or shoe mat, anywhere near the door. The coat closet is hidden in the wall, in the living room, around the corner. Shoes just make puddles on the tile floor in the hallway, beside the bathroom door. The little things that go a long way are missing.

The bathroom vanity seems to be second hand, it’s in rough shape, it extends longer than the wall it’s mounted to, weirdly encroaching on the toilet space, it’s not centred on the mirror, the baggie of old screws are is still taped to the bottom of the sink, and the old caulking is still in the basin.

The toilet is shoved weirdly close into the corner with the vanity, but there’s a whole square meter of floor space sitting empty on the other side of the toilet.

The shower leaks water from the tiles below the door frame, so water pools on the floor, and soaks through the little hand-towel-sized floor mat pretty quickly.

For the price we paid and the room class, we were hoping for at least an average number of towels, and slippers and bathrobes are pretty standard at this rate, but it was pretty slim pickings.

The included Wi-Fi is capped at 2 Mbps, and it’s an additional fee to get useable Wi-Fi.

The lamp on the desk has loose wires inside, so it shorts out when you adjust it.

Heated underground parking was really nice, worth the additional $35 / night in this neighbourhood.

The lounge / restaurant closes early on a Saturday night, so we had to find dinner downtown.

Won’t stay again, and will recommend the same to the family member who recommended this place to me.

Hopefully Hilton invests in some upkeep of this place, because it’s not enticing me to stay at any other Hilton.

Despite being in an upcoming neighbourhood going through changes for the better, the hotel was clean and staff were super friendly. In particular, a shout out to our lovely wait staff Linda and Joy who were professional, fun and personable. Thank you for making my family feel so welcome and treating us with kindness.

Excelente service, nice detail to receive a hot big chocolat cookie at registration 😍. The room was big, a lot of towels, the pool was so nice and the gym. And we love the plenty space at second floor just to seat and have a drink or dinner.

The hotel staff are well educated and eager to help. We were a group of about 40 rooms and we all loved the rooms and service. The restaurant on the 2nd floor is large with a good atmosphere. Charina and Senait from the sales team executed anticipatory service and made the whole experience memorable.

-The checking in and checking out were smooth, room and hotel itself were clean- 5stars for that

- The restaurant on the 2nd floor is above average, with good sitting space and ambiance, and good servers, but the food was average but had it when I was starving so can't complain- 3 stars

- Now what I didn't like- The room had no microwave, and no complimentary water bottles (spent 3.5 dollars for a small 250ml Krikland water bottle), I asked if they had a water station- what they had was that traditional direct drinking station in their gym area. Also, the area is a little iffy- 1 star for all these
