The decor is dated, the staff seemed confused. Another guest was given a key to our room by accident so we got to meet some new people in an odd and awkward way. The thermostat has no markings and seemed to always be on. The plumbing in the bathroom was fixed poorly and obviously not by a professional. The beds are clean and tidy but incredibly uncomfortable, they are stiff which is my preference however lumpy and quite apparently very old. Their no smoking and no noise policy seems standard but they continually hang the $500 fine over your head, either in discussion or in all the reminder cards found in the rooms and offices. It's affordable, but somewhere else is worth the little bit more money.

Since we last stayed here 2'ish years ago, the place has taken a bit of a downturn. I think COVID has helped take a toll on the business. They've also apparently changed ownership, and are largely renting to monthly stays. Realizing that we are traveling out of season, I can give a bit of leeway - the place has to keep money coming in to stay open.
So the good: It's still likely the cheapest place to crash in Windsor. The room smelled fresh and I'm picky on this. There was no evidence of bugs or critters - yes I checked - the vibe warranted it. Beds were clean, and the washroom had been thoroughly cleaned. And the water pressure in the shower is awesome - the odd little showerhead is really kind amazing. Staff are quite quick to respond to concerns when you raise them
The not so good: our room was supposedly one of the monthly units which had just been vacated. It wasn't ready when we got there, not a big deal for me to give them another hour and half to make ready. But, the room really could have used a better going over - the cushions on the chairs should have been lifted and vaccumed under. The carpet probably deserved a shampoo (tho I didn't really see anything bad to drive this statement). The room mirror could have used a wipe. The fridge was missing, and we had to call for a roll of toilet paper to be brought as there was none.

I can't honestly say we'd be certain of staying again - even spending more to stay elsewhere.

My girlfriend and I planned on staying a couple of nights and made a booking through an online booking service. The owner seemed pleasant enough and we were reasonably happy with the room. We decided to leave after one night due to the room next to ours being let to some pretty noisy people who arrived late (after midnight) and had a loud conversation outside the open window to our room (the units are not fitted with air conditioning) Not wanting to have to have another sleepless night I decided to leave and our second nights money was refunded. The owner didnt ask why we were leaving early which I found odd. So its a great cheap place to stay If you dont mind no air conditioning, old decor and probably noisy comings and goings from other guests.

Great little place for movers and truckers passing through town, looking for a decent bed and shower after a day of work. They have a "workers rate" of $80 per night, which is hard to beat. Plus, the receptionist was super nice and acommodating with everything.

We didn’t stay! In the drive out the drive. We called and there was a room available so we drove from Halifax. There were people everywhere in the driveway, people’s belongings, loud music. Even a car on ramps being worked on. All this accompanied by the stench of pot. I’m quite sure most of the rooms had people living in them. That’s all fine but it’s not ok to rent to unsuspecting travellers that think they’re getting the motel and atmosphere described on your website.

I've never stayed in such a pathetic excuse of a hotel in my life. The rooms were stuffy and musty, unclean. The staff rude and unprofessional. Not to mention what they were smoking in plain sight! ||Housekeeping was basically inexistent. Toiletries and towels were not replaced daily, housekeeping staff was rude when she was asked for more towels and she had a small child following her around. Very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this rat hole even to my worst of enemies.

Old school motel but very well taken care of and very clean. The decor is dated but it feels clean and well maintained. Doesn't have that musty smell that you often find in older establishments. Definitely recommend for a budget minded traveller.
