Downtown Paris by the river is such a beautiful and relaxing spot! The scenery is stunning, especially when you walk along the riverbanks and enjoy the view of the historic buildings mixed with the calm flow of the water. It’s a perfect place for a peaceful stroll, to sit and enjoy a coffee, or even just watch the world go by. The area has a charming mix of small shops, cafés, and greenery, making it a great destination for both locals and visitors. Whether in the day or evening, the riverside gives you a real sense of the town’s charm and character.

Cute city and have a lovely downtown. Yes there were construction happening in the downtown, but shops were open. We also watched Penman’s dam and did a small trail there. Completed our lunch at 2 Rivers Patio.
Wants to come back again when construction is over to explore more shops and also wants to do more walking trails.

Our first visit to Paris, Ontario. Downtown's pretty. You can shop at Wincey Mills. There's a lot of dining available on outdoor patios. If you are into water activities, then you can either Kayak the grand river, tube it, or go rafting. About 5 mins away (driving distance), you can experience Lions Park, which would be really fun if you have little kids. There are slides and a splash pad. There are trails as well at Lions Park. Try the Nith River Sensory trail. Paris is where two rivers meet. The Grand and the Sith. Penman dam was built to harness the Grand's power to run the Penman Clothing Company. It's a lovely day trip, especially in early summer.
