Dont stay here in the back rooms. Unless they fix them up. Also not really kid friendly. It was late we had no choice everything was full. Staff are nice and helpful and main building looks fine, but the rooms are in bad shape. At first it looks ok. And the front buildings might be ok but the back one should be closed for now. First room we went to was older and beds looked clean and that room might of been ok untill we herd a noise in the bathroom. The sink was full of water. The people upstairs were having a shower and well it was raining in our room from the ceiling. The staff quickly moved us upstairs and were very nice about it. As we walked up the stairs which u could tell they are doing some repairs.as u walk upstairs you must be careful you don't go through the floor only took one picture, but the whole balcony was rotten. We got into the room. It looked older but ok. No bugs but the sheets are not clean all stained with what looked like pee and blood. The towels in the bathroom are worse then ones I have at home for rags. They were worn right through the middle. We used our own blankets bed was decent. There is a house beside the hotel with a women offering her services. Not something for the kids to see. In the morning there was no one at the desk and the doors are locked we had to leave the keys in the room. It was 7am. Unfortunate start to our holiday.

The Dreamcatcher Lodge in Stephenville is an average, road-side motel that gets the job done but doesn't go beyond that. My room was clean and comfortable, which is a big plus, but the overall experience was somewhat marred by a few issues that could use attention.

One of the stairwells had a broken window, and the carpet in the hallway was stained, which gave the place a bit of a rundown feel. A little TLC could go a long way in improving the ambiance.

Additionally, when I checked in, I was informed that a $300 hold would be placed on my credit card to cover any potential damages. I found this policy a bit off-putting, as it’s not something I often encounter at other hotels, and it added an unnecessary layer of caution to my stay.

Overall, if you're looking for a place to stay in Stephenville, the Dreamcatcher Lodge is an option, but given the choice, I would probably explore other hotels before booking here again.

My now husband and I stayed at dreamcatcher the night of our wedding on August 17th of this year, when we came back our room wasn’t even touched, beds were still unmade. As my husband and his best man stayed the night before. When we booked this hotel last year, we were told that since it was our wedding that we would get some
Rose peddles on the bed, champagne and got nothing their excuse was “ we have a new cleaning crew and they don’t know how to do that”. In my opinion shouldn’t matter if they’re new you should show your crew how to do it. Since we booked a year in advance the lady who took our reservation was suppose to write down these notes to let the cleaning crew or whatnot know. And nothing was added as the person who checked my husband in was the same lady who booked us, and tried to get out of it being her fault saying we didn’t call back. Which we did we called in January to make sure it was still good, again in April and then a week before our wedding to make sure as we wanted to double check we had the right room. But to be told we would be getting rose peddles and champagne on our wedding night and got nothing along with the beds not even being done is a huge disappointment especially on your wedding night. Needless to say we were not very happy with the service they provided.

This is a nice basic hotel to stay in. The rooms range from rather small to spacious multi rooms, bedroom, kitchen, living/dining room and nice bathroom. This place is a throwback to the 60's. It was clean and the staff were both very nice and helpful. I would stay here again.

My wife and I stayed there May 18th we found the room to be not to bad. The walls could use some TLC as the paint isn't in great shape. The maid could do a better job the shower wasn't cleaned properly and as for the fan in the bathroom it was so full of dust and black mold from moisture that it didn't work properly. Same as another comment made about paper thin walls and floor nothing but noise from above us till hours of the night and being kept up half the night when we were due up early to catch our boat home. The other thing is there needs to be a drop box for keys for people who check out early instead of having to leave it in da room.

The rooms are a little outdated but very homey. They took us in, in the middle of the night, as my father passed and our flight in was delayed. Had a good sleep, beds are comfy and clean. Centrally located in Stephenville. Would recommend.

The location was great to come and visit the surrounding hamlets and towns. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything to cook all our meals. The staff went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed. Priced right!!

Rooms are paper thin walls, people coming & going, drinking, socializing, all hours & difficult to sleep or feel safe, put chair under door!!! Door to go upstairs & out - banged all night long - only way to get to 2nd floor rooms.
Work booked the place & we were able to move a week later - thank goodness! The Internet was pitiful when you could connect.
Walking distance to Tim Hortons.
