Eagle Bluff bed and breakfast is a beautiful looking local house that is located next to the bay with beautiful views of the bay area and is only 5 minutes walk from the town centre. There is also plenty of tourist activities and tours available from the tourist information centre a few doors up.

The building is old but very well cared for and in such an excellent location. Blue (the owner) is such an amazing person. They prepare fabulous breakfasts for their guests. We love staying there!

A good location doesn't make a good BnB.
It is not the fact that the website said that the room would have a kingsize bed and that it had 2 single beds instead that bothered me that much. Though I was disappointed. But what makes me write a bad review is the response of the owner, Blue when addressing this did not simply say that I was right and that she regrets that this happened. She argued that I am single and that this is the room they give single people. Then she argued that no other costumer has ever complained about this. You see: I'm easily satisfied. I really am. I don't mind it that much but when I point something out in a calm and polite way I don't need somebody talking back at me with arguments that have nothing to do with my complaint. I don't need someone pointing out that I am single and that single beds will do. Nor do I need someone making the argument that I'm only staying for one night and that this is the room they give to people when staying one night. When I book a very expensive room at a place that promotes itself as a 4 star establishment I expect to get what I payed for and if that's not possible so be it. But don't argue with me, the costumer. Half an hour later she came by to say that she is gonna change it on the website so that this doesn't happen again. Well Blue, I'm glad I could be of service to you. I would've let it go easily of it weren't for your communication.

Later that evening there was no one of the staff at the BnB and my room was extremely hot because the gas fireplace was on (in my room). There was a sign in front of the fireplace that guests aren't to touch the control panel of the fireplace. I was not about to go to sleep in a sauna so I called Blue (because nobody was here) up to ask how I can turn it of. Before assisting me she had to point out that she was having diner with her son. OK... that's helpfull?

The BnB is OK. The house has a lot of character and feels cozy. I do think it is way overprized for what it is. I find it bothersome that I felt like I had to negotiate when asking things that were very basic. In fact... I had to go and search for the phonenumber of who I could reach to ask about the heating. The number that was written on the outside door went to voicemail. If I had have know this place would be a fuss I wouldn't have chosen it. There are cheaper places in town which will offer the same deal.

I would not be surprised if Blue starts arguing in response to this review too.

It's too bad they didn't have more stars for location. This is right on the water. It's so beautiful. And the rooms are nice. Coming up right before Christmas was a stroke of luck. The boats decorated with lights were nice to see. Oh, and Cow Bay? Great place to just hang out and browse.

Blue is so kind and lovely. AND full of interesting stories. I think I'll actually miss being here. I can't wait for a return trip.

Oh right, I have to mention the vegan yogurt. I'm not a fan, however, she has found one that is fantastic. That alone was worth the trip.......no wait, she was...........or maybe it was the location............or the room. Well, you get the idea. A great place in all ways.

In November 2022, I stayed at Eagle Bluff while moving from Toronto to Prince Rupert, and it became one of the most memorable parts of my journey. Blue, the manager, was the very first person I met in town, and she set the tone for everything that followed. Blue is one of those rare people who you instantly connect with: her love for Eagle Bluff and her knowledge of local history and wildlife were so inspiring. But more than that, her warmth and energy just made me feel at home right away.

The room I stayed in offered a breathtaking view of the bay, and the cozy fireplace. Waking up to the views of mountains, the ocean, and the wildlife just outside my window felt like something out of a dream.

Blue's hospitality extended to the breakfast as well: she prepared a delicious, thoughtfully made vegetarian meal just for me. She’d sit with me while I ate, offering friendly company and making sure I knew the best local spots before I headed out for the day. Such a kind gesture!

Two years later I still remember my first night in Prince Rupert with a smile in my heart and reflect on how important it is to meet the right people along the way. Blue was the first person to introduce me to this beautiful town, and seeing it through her eyes made me fall in love with it. I truly feel like I’ve made a friend for life, and I can’t imagine a better person to run a bed & breakfast.

Thank you, Blue, for opening the doors of Eagle Bluff and your heart to me. You’ve made this place feel warm, cozy, and like a home. Wishing you all the best as you continue to make Eagle Bluff such a special place.

The Eagle Bluff B&B is in the best location possible. You are within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, pubs, the information center and hiking paths. My partner and I stayed in the Sunset room with private access to a deck, which we enjoyed daily with a glass of wine and afternoon snacks. The room itself could use some upgrades (mudding the scrapes in the walls and a bit of paint), but was very eclectic with lovely antique furniture, which my partner and I love. Blue is an amazing host who was accommodating and a great conversationalist who was knowledgeable about the area. She is also a great cook (previously a chef) who served amazing breakfasts and coffee daily. The only downside was a very uncomfortable bed and some uncleanliness that I think Amanda (the cleaner) could improve on: the door shows dirt that hasn’t been cleaned in months, the bathroom could also use some extra attention.

Loved this funky hostel-style B&B, right on the harbour in Cow Bay. Our room was next to the guest kitchen, with access to the waterfront deck. Solid wifi and a delicious custom-prepared breakfast in the upstairs dining area. Free parking close by with a dashboard chit provided. Excellent location for exploring all the sights in downtown PR. Recommended!
