We had an amazing experience at the edge of the earth winery booth at the Canada Day celebration today! In a world where any kind of service seems to be a distant memory, she was absolutely charming and delightfully refreshing. I loved her vibe and her friendliness; she was so excellent & personable.
She gave us such a memorable wine tasting! The wines were delicious and all very unique from each other. I can't wait to go to the actual winery, since the booth was phenomenal!

I haven’t had the chance to visit the winery itself, but I’ve sampled a few different reds and whites at the Home Show on two separate occasions. Personally, I found the wines underwhelming — more on the bland and watery side, with noticeable sediment. The owner is very confident in promoting his wines, even claiming they’re “the best wine in the world,” though unfortunately they didn’t live up to that standard for me.

We visited on a Friday afternoon. We were greeted by a man with his hands on his hips telling us that his dog would eat our dog. Our dog was staying in the car, his was in a cage on the upper balcony of the house. Ok. We decided to continue on.

Inside the house I was poured glasses of wine with very little explanation of the process or flavour to expect, pairing?

Some of the wines were good. I did buy 6 bottles. However, don’t waste your time driving out to the winery to see a grumpy man who clearly doesn’t enjoy what he’s doing. Go to a market in town instead.

He was arrogant and rude, talked about aviation more than wine and really seemed disinterested in the winery or us.

Edge of the Earth Winery was a great start to a fun, self-guided wine tour. They have great wines at great prices. I definitely want to come back when the new tasting room is finished, or to stock up next time I’m in town. The Owner/Vintner is definitely a character and chatting with him was worth the detour from the highway. He cut out all the pretentiousness you often find at tastings, replacing it with frankness about the wines and the business, while adding in the odd funny anecdote. No disrespect to the four other wineries we saw today, but this place is the one we told people about when they asked about our tour.

Dropped in with my husband, son and his girlfriend on a Sunday afternoon. My son buys wine from the Proprietress at the Kingfisher Market when we come up to Mabel Lake. We had a great time tasting their available wines (all are wonderful) and had a fun and very interesting conversation with both husband and wife. The Proprietor is very knowledgeable, and we learned a lot that we didn’t know about grapes and wines. We also saw three deer go through their front yard close up. It was a tasty and memorable afternoon! Including a photo of her beautiful quilt.

The lady was very knowledgeable, and very very friendly and accommodating. There were 8 of us and she was super patient during our tasting and explain to us what each one is, and then took us for a little tour of their equipment and explained to us how wine was made. We ended up buying...a lot lol. Thanks again for a wonderful experience. Yes all the cases are full

I went there last weekend but forgot to take pictures. We had planned to buy no more than three bottles of wine, but after tasting them and speaking with the guy, we decided to buy the entire box (12+ bottles). The wines taste fantastic and are reasonably priced. And the guy is really nice, taking us for a walk around there, and immersing Vernon atmosphere with a question why we’re still living in Calgary.

We discovered this winery 5 yrs ago and returned recently. We love this winery as the owners are very friendly and down to earth and make you feel like you are tasting with friends. The wine is good quality and affordable. They have a nice variety of wines. We had a case shipped home each time we went. It is worth the drive to this lovely spot.
