Un véritable hôtel en pleine nature, sur une île au milieu d'un lac ... Des châlets dispersés sur l'île (difficile de voir les voisins), non loin du lodge où se trouve la salle à manger. Chaque châlet dispose de son propre ponton auquel est amarré un bateau à moteur. Le style est rustique, tout en bois, très soigné, confortable et propre. De vraies "cabanes au Canada" comme dit la chanson. La version American Plan comprend la pension complète et le service hôtelier (ménage, lit, serviettes). La cuisine est copieuse et délicieuse, à base de produits de la région (on est vraiment loin des fast food ...). Le cadre est absolument magnifique. Les gens sont d'une gentillesse incroyable. Un endroit splendide à recommander à tous ceux qui veulent se déconnecter totalement . C'est également et surtout le paradis des pêcheurs et de ceux qui ont envie de découvrir la nature (guides très compétents). Le coucher du soleil sur le lac est grandiose mais ne manquez pas non plus la lumière et le calme du petit matin, seulement troublé par le départ au loin d'un pêcheur ...|Une famille conquise, Bruxelles-Belgique|

Great customer service. Top notch staff. Family owned and operated. Attention to detail from the minute you land at the dock. Al and Doris are such wonderful people. Reliable boats/motors. Shore lunch is awesome. Cabins are well outfitted and the scenery is breathtaking. We are repeat guests. Thank you Al & Doris❤

Excellent adventure! The staff goes out of their way to make you at home and make sure you have a great experience! My wife, 2 kids (age 8 & 11), and I had a great time fishing, swimming, nature seeing and relaxing! The food is outstanding and the shore lunch option is a must have for at least once per stay! The minnow races were also an added bonus this time! Top notch wilderness resort and we give it our highest recommendations!

Really enjoyed our stay, Al, Doris and staff are fantastic. Fishing is great with a variety of Walleye, Pike and perch. Cabins are roomy and comfortable. Will be back for sure.

We just got back from 5 nights at Errington's. We had an excellent time. The family and staff were all wonderful and made the stay very enjoyable. The fishing was great, the food was excellent. We LOVED shore lunch, and was able to do it on 2 different afternoons. The cabins were all well kept and they came and cleaned up each day for us. I can not give enough praise. Even our 5 year old had a great time! Highly recommend if you are looking for a great fishing/wilderness experience.

I have been to Errington's twice and loved it both times. You can experience the true ||Canadian wild and have the comfort of a cabin to go home to at night. I don't fish but the fishermen I talked to said fishing is great, and the knowledgeable staff tell you where to catch the most fish. I prefer to kayak along the shore and to enjoy the quiet, the stars at night, and the call of the loons. You can cook in your cabin or go to the lodge for excellent meals. The chef cheerfully accommodated my request for a vegetarian meal. ||The Erringtons know the area very well and are happy to share their knowledge and experience. ||All in all, a great experience.

My wife and I went up to see the Northern Lights. Their calendar listed the phases of the moon so we could choose the weekend of the new moon. The staff could not have been more more friendly and helpful. Each meal was a delight. The shore lunches could not have been tastier, with fish caught either that day or the day before. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The lake was beautiful and the views were wonderful in each direction. I can understand why so many people have returned there time after time. I hope we will join that group of people. To the Errington's I say Thank You for a wonderful vacation!

Im Juni 2007 waren wir während unserer Kanadarundreise 3 Tage bei Errington´s Wilderness Island Resort und es war eine außergewöhnliche Erfahrung. Wir wollten die weichgespülte Version der kanadischen Wildniss und haben genau das bekommen - es war einfach perfekt. Die 9 stündige Zugfahrt in das Resort war kurzweilig und man hatte immer einen tollen Ausblick. Angekommen übernimmt man direkt sein eigenes Boot und kann an seinem eigenen Steg an seiner eigenen Hütte anlegen. Diese ist - dafür das man sich mitten im Nirgendwo befindet - sehr komfortabel. Fließendes (warmes) Wasser, eine fast normale Toilette und wir hatten jede Menge Platz und ein bequemes Bett. Wir wählten die Vollversorgung, da die Selbstversorgung sich für uns etwas schwierig gestaltete. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich! Am aller beeindruckensten waren aber die Errington´s und ihr Personal, die wirklich extrem freundlich, kompetent und hilfsbereit waren. Man hat uns Großstädtern in aller Ausführlichkeit und Ruhe alles genaustens erklärt, so dass wir sogar als Anfänger Fische gefangen haben (was eigentlich kein großes Kunststück ist, denn Fische gibt es jede Menge). Auf dem Boot rumzudümpeln, die Angel ins Wasser zu halten und dabei noch eine Bärenfamilie zu beobachten war wirklich einmalig. Wir können jedem, der einen umfassenden Eindruck von Kanada gewinnen möchte, nur wärmstens empfehlen dort ein paar Tage zu verbringen - es lohnt sich!|
