I've never been to a store with someone so helpful! Valerie is the most accommodating, enthusiastic and knowledgeable person when it comes to skating. You can learn a lot by just listening to him.

We showed up not knowing it was by appointment and he said not to worry and still squeezed us into his busy schedule. He even stayed late past closing to finish installing and sharpening the blades for the new pair of skates we purchased. We had a skating event the next day and he wanted to ensure we could get out onto the ice. He also did the blade sharpening for free since we bought a new pair!

The skates ended up being a perfect fit on first use and we're very happy! Would highly recommend anyone interested in skating to go visit him. He'll point you in the right direction and get you on the ice in comfort.

The only thing to be aware of is the parking. It is BAD. It's paid parking and most spots are reserved for apartment tenants. I'd recommend parking in the pharmacy nearby and walking to avoid getting a ticket or pay for parking, if you can find a spot.

Valeri is amazing!!!! So helpful. My daughter wanted to get back into skating after 12 years. He was so patient and helpful. His knowledge of everything skating is impressive. He is a man who has a passion for skating. He has many tips to ensure the skates last the longest and stay in great shape.

The very best place in Oakville for professional sharpening of figure skates!! You will pay a bit more than your local hardware store but the owner can customize to your EXACT needs as a skater. Also very professional service. Highly recommend!!! Be forewarned the parking is nasty! Pay close attention to signs! There are only 3 Visitor parking spots or it is PAID PARKING.

Do not recommend going here. I bought top of the line skates, and they are too narrow for my feet. When I told him, I kept getting told they'd stretch out. A year and half later, I wish I never bought them, my feet are in pain, and I hate skating in them. Plus, I had several other issues, like my blades not being centered and my sharpening not being smooth. I will not go back. So extremely frustrating and disappointed.

This is a great local store, Valeri is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He is incredibly patient and works with the skater to find the perfect skate for them. We regularly get our skates sharpened here but will definitely be back to purchase our next figure skates
