I stayed with Pete and George, their son, daughter in law, grandkids,. I mean, you got to meet their friends and family. Really good people, left a lasting memory that I will never forget.

I was a bit reluctant to show up at Experience Labrador since not only were we unexpected, but that we were also self-outfitted with our own gear and a Feathercraft K2 folding kayak. However, on the advice of locals, I decided it was probably our best option for parking the car and launching. From the start, Pete (female) and George were very hospitable and helpful, though Pete naturally had some concerns about our plans since the weather forecast was a bit iffy and the Labrador Sea is no place to screw up. Having said that, however, the Cartwright area is a wonderful place to kayak with numerous islands and dramatic scenery. Experience Labrador offers good support facilities for the self-outfitted kayaker, including camping and showers, as well as good advice and information, in addition to being gracious and friendly people.

Thank you for this great adventure! Kayaking to the wonderstrand was so nice, and easy. We enjoyed walking on the beach, on the white, never ending sand.
Being the first visitors to the new announced national park was a pleasure 😉
The landscape is so beautiful! While paddeling we saw a minky wale 300 feet in front of us and also caribu tracks on the wonderstrand 😉

We really liked how easy it was to rent the kayaks, get the information where to paddle, where to camp and just go out to the water!
Even when the sea gets rough, we know that somebody is taking care and will pick you up. You both are such a lovely couple, and so helpful! Just giving us and for sure everybody what one is looking for while staying or traveling through cartwright is a gift.
We definitely can recommend everybody to go there! Camping, hiking, kayaking, guided boat tours, beautiful crafts as well as a really tasty bakery is what you get here! And for even more!
Thanks again for the warm tea and the tips about Goose Bay, it was so relaxing!
