My family and I had a pleasant visit at this hotel on our road trip back to Vancouver. It was very well-maintained and the breakfast buffet was also a nice touch for us. The rooms were spacious and had a good layout. The only gripe is that there was a false eyelash cluster left in our bathroom sink so it just looked a bit odd but I think overall The cleanliness of the hotel was fine. It wasn’t really enough for us to make a stink about, but just something to be mindful of for house cleaning staff.

I’m not usually one to complain, but considering what I paid for the room, I felt it was important to leave a review. While the food was fresh and enjoyable, the overall atmosphere of the hotel was lacking. I expected more for the price I paid for a double room. The water pressure in the sink was extremely low, making it difficult to use. We also tried to use the hot tub, but the jets were broken and it wasn't clean. Additionally, when we requested a cot, we were told none were available.

For a pricier hotel, this is not worth it. At all.|This is our second try here be myself as a rule we like the Marriotts. This is nothing like the rest.|The hotel itself is modern & fresh. It's the service that is unbelievably bad.|The first time we were here we walked into the hotel to check.un and there was no one there. Literally not a single staff member. Anywhere. We walked around, voodoo, nope. No one showed up so we went for dinner and came back 2 hours later, there was one staff at the desk. This time wasn't much better..ONE staff at the desk. Took forever to check in because the poor girl was overwhelmed. We asked our room be done each night even though we were staying for 2 nights. When we checked out after 2 days we never did see a housekeeper or clean towels despite us saying. This hotel was over $400 a night and we can't even get towels? It's craziness .|The continental help- yourself breakfast is equally terrible. Out of some if the food all the tables dirty. The food quality is the usual over processed cardboard you'd expect but not a single staff to clean up. |We won't be dedicated Marriott patrons after this one.

We stayed for 1 night in early May as a family of four in a two queen room. The room was very spacious, lots of room to spread out. Bathroom was also very large which is appreciated. Everything was clean and modern.|Kids LOVED the waterslide in the pool area which we had to ourselves. Breakfast was also very nice, food was replenished and hot/cold as needed. Staff was friendly.|This was a perfect stop on our drive along HWY 1. We would stay again.

Lovely welcome on arrival. Room large and modern. Shower ok but could be more powerful. Towels - bit small and hidden away under sink (bit stupid design). Bed and pillows comfy. AC a little bit noisy - hard to hear TV over it. Sink bowl stopper - not working. Conditioner - empty and no one had bothered to refill it. (Poor housekeeping standards). ||Staff gave us advice on where to eat - see separate review of Thai place - Chiang Mai Orchid Restaurant - splendid. ||Breakfast - why even bother? We are both vegetarian. Asked staff for anything vegetarian - staff member had horrid attitude and just grunted “no”. Asked her to refill the hot water so I could at least have tea but she didn’t bother but did other jobs that didn’t need doing. ||Quality and offering of “free breakfast” items poor and only offer for vegetarians/vegans like us was toast and hash browns and fruit. Coffee dreadfully poor quality and tea - well - couldn’t have any ad no hot water despite asking for it to be replenished. ||Ok - so this was a Marriotts points redemption but sadly a disappointing stay given the breakfast and small details that had been missed.

The building is not built well enough for a hotel. Very disappointing… walls and floors are so thin.. you can’t relax in your room at all… from screaming kids in the next room to the stomping kids above the room, and the constant loud noise from the semi trucks on the highway adjacent to the hotel, we couldn’t wait to leave. The staff were very friendly, and tried to help as much as possible, but there wasn’t much they could do. This is why I gave 5 stars for Service.

The good – location is convenient to the highway and downtown. ||The ok – breakfast is fine, but nothing stood out about it. The beds were fine. ||The negatives – |Internet access. Unlike all the other hotels we stayed at on this trip, they didn’t give you the login information on a separate paper. You had to go online and navigate a site that seemed keener on getting you to sign up for a Marriott membership and purchase enhanced Internet access. I ended up signing up for a membership using a burner e-mail address, although I’m not 100% clear if it was a necessary part of getting free access. ||In-room coffee had 4 identical de-caff pods. Not the variety I was looking for.|The air conditioner was much louder than any of the other hotels we stayed at this trip. Reminiscent of a jet warming up to take off. ||The bathroom was poorly designed. In a room with a capacity of 4, it had a small hand-towel rack and two hooks. The towels were stored in a space under the sink that you needed to get on your hands and knees to access. To “save the environment,” the water temperature was limited to warm, at its hottest. If you want to soak in a hot bath, good luck. ||The kicker, though, was getting home, checking my credit-card bill and finding that the $212.75 they’d billed me for had magically turned into a $400 charge. The charge was corrected after I contacted them, but I haven’t had an explanation or apology. Presumably, they would have been happy collect the extra money had I not pointed out the discrepancy.

Lovely hotel. Nice and clean. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast was good. Only thing I found disappointing was the extremely high use of single use plastic. Plastic cutlery, plates, cups etc and also no changing rooms for the pool.
