As I get in the Bus and take my seat to wait for the bus to start its trip, a GRT security approached me and asked me to put on my mask, (I do so right away) Im confused because the masks mandates have been lifted, thats no issue to me, why make scene when the bus driver couldve asked me nicely the first time?what really annoyed me was the fact that the bus driver never put her mask on but had her mask by her neck the whole trip.

Neil Malcolm, the acting director of transit services for Grand River Transit said "Mask compliance throughout the pandemic has been very high on public transit - there's sometimes been cases where people would ride without a mask, and then we've had to follow up to make sure that they understand what the importance of the mask by-law is, and that they're required to wear it during their time that they're using public transit."

Maybe if drivers follow the mandates it will be easier for us riders to remember to always keep a mask on us!
