Fossil Beach Farm - Hornby Island, British Columbia

We stayed at one of the RV campsites at Fossil Beach Farm to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary with our kids, and it was incredible! The site was beautifully maintained with gravel, grass, picnic table and hookups. The washrooms were clean and had showers, and the outdoor kitchen was great for washing dishes. The field was full of tiny tree frogs — such a fun surprise for the kids! 🐸

The beach is just a short walk down and absolutely stunning — rocky, full of fossils, beach glass, and tons of little crabs. We spent hours exploring. The cider flights were a perfect treat, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We’d love to make this our new annual family tradition!

Maybe I was the odd case but burger I’ve ordered and waited for 30 minutes (Sunday 4pm=not at all busy) was tiny and very dry, bun burned and cold, absolutely not worth $25.

They ran out with potato salad and since I didn’t want fries they offered instead I asked for more greens, which after a reminder I did receive a negligible amount, in extra box. Greens were fresh, yes, dressing not housemade. Not worth the anticipation, time and money. Overall nice space, games, beautiful trees, clean. Music too loud but that’s whatever. I just wanted and okay food and that was definitely not it.

Loved this property! Hornby island is a magical place. We will back every summer. Loved the cider, the location and the people. Best sunsets ❤️

Went for lunch and cider here after a long travel day for Desolation. Amazing location, beautiful location. Had the burgers that were absolutely delicious, and the cider was great….our fave was the Cidersourus! Great music too and kids ran and played. We will be back!!!

We just returned from a wonderful family holiday at Fossil Beach Farm. The location, view and sunsets are spectacular. Mitch and Lisa, the hosts on the property were super welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our tent was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the bed very comfortable. We appreciated the conveniences available on the property from the cook shack to the cribbage boards and flashlights in the tents to onsite yoga. The food and cider (available during cidery hours) was delicious and even if you're not staying here, I highly recommend popping by to enjoy a meal and ciders. We had a memorable stay and will definitely plan to stay here again on future trips to Hornby!!

Amazing location. Went on a Sunday with friends and family. There was music till 8pm. A lot of local folks which really made the atmosphere better. Great cider, but you can’t taste any before ordering.

I’m not typically a cider drinker but heard their BBQ and setting was worth the stop. Did not disappoint. BBQ was great, All the items we tried salmon, beef burgers and cider were fantastic. All the staff were great, friendly and helpful. Love the picnic like atmosphere. Next time will try their glam camping as their tent rentals looked very comfortable.

Just got back from 4 night glamping. It was so perfect in so many ways. The tents are very high class. Sleeping with the sounds of nature yet hotel comfort it really nice. The bed was so comfortable that me and my wife want to know the mattress type. The outdoor kitchen that is available is top notch. Bathrooms and showers are new and very much high end hotel quality. Do not even get me started on the actual property and the views. Kids had a blast and no TV and technology.....no problem for 5 days. Loved everything about it. We want to make this an annual trip now.
