Four Lakes Trail - Brackendale, BC

This trail is so green and refreshing! Lots of big trees with moss hanging down. Fairly easy hike but some ups and downs. The loop is about 6 1/2 km long but can be extended with side excursions. Like the name says, you get to see all four lakes along the way.

Alice lake is the biggest with sandy beach, good for water sports and swimming.

Edith has nice colour with limited access, most secluded, you still can fish there.

Fawn is the smallest and most quiet with toads! (Saw only tadpoles this time) This is my favorite.. very cute lake.

Stump is with a little island in the middle, and many floating gardens. You can go around the whole lake with many access to great fishing spots.

Some areas of the trails are shared with cyclists. Well marked but easy to miss turn offs, so keep your navigation handy. Dog and family friendly. Multiple washrooms along the way. Great way to immerse yourself in nature!

From the moment we started our hike, we were greeted with picturesque vistas that took our breath away. The scenic beauty of the four lakes along the trail is simply stunning. Each new lake we encountered was a unique surprise, and we couldn't get enough of the natural beauty.

One of the most impressive aspects of this trail is its family-friendliness. Even our 7-year-old boy managed the hike with ease. The well-maintained path and gradual inclines make it accessible to hikers of all levels. We appreciated the opportunity to introduce our child to the wonders of nature without worrying about the trail's difficulty.

The trail's family-friendliness extends to its overall atmosphere. We encountered several families on our hike, and it was heartwarming to see parents and children enjoying the great outdoors together.

The Four Lakes Trail offers a memorable outdoor experience with its stunning scenery, family-friendly nature, and accessibility to hikers of all ages. It's a perfect choice for a day of adventure and bonding in the heart of nature.

Well maintain trail,flat in some area but some is with tree and loose branches.
Photo taken late march.2023 and still we have few snow that time.
There is a campground and picnic area I guess use for seasonal time.
There is a washroom but near half way of the trail.
Good view and scenery to see.
There is a limited parking lot.

Trail is well maintained and well marked. You will likely have to share the trail with mountain bikers, so be mindful of that. I came up from Squamish by bus (route 1) to Eagle Run, crossed the overpass, and went up the connector Trail to Jack's Trail which led up to Alice Lake (one of the four lakes in the trail). If you have a vehicle there are plenty of parking spots that are more accessible than the route I took. Pretty easy hike, make sure to take a dip in Alice Lake when you get there.

Incredible hike. I highly recommend it. Easy for kids but also worth it for experienced hikers who want to walk through some of the most beautiful forest you can imagine.

Excellent walking trail highlighting the variety and beauty of this area— lots of variations to make it as short or as long as you like— suitable for beginner/ novice people, but anyone would enjoy it— you hit the lakes, but there are also lovely paths by the river, paths deep in the forest, spots to stop and rest for a bit and enjoy the view, etc… a highlight of our stay in Squamish!

Good hike! Slight elevation, well worn trail, not too crowded, good nature experience (woodsy, lakes, creek). And a dip in Alice Lake when done!

An extremely easy hike. Scenic and short. Stump, Edith and Fawn Lakes are quiet. Alice Lake was the busiest because of camp grounds and picnic tables. Overall a fun morning!
