This was such an amazing fun filled, walking tour of the town with so many great facts and interesting anecdotes from our tour guide Ross! I remember saying to myself, how has no one made a movie about the stories that he was telling us because they were enriched with historic facts, culture, and with things that you may not even find in history textbooks. You get a little bit of everything in this tour and are not just bombarded with dates. We absolutely loved it, and commend Ross on taking us on a tour on one of the coldest wind chilled days when this could’ve been just cancelled since it’s free. You won’t go wrong with this tour!

Ross was an EXEMPLARY guide - his whip-smart sense of humour adds a layer of lightness to a region of Canada which (not so long ago) is steeped in conflict. Bring a tissue, as his sense of optimism and hope is demonstrated with real life examples of how people continue to mend and make connections. As far as ratings go, there should be six stars.

We learned about Niagara on the Lake from someone who was immersed in local history and could provide a perspective beyond just buildings and dates. Ross deftly revealed the many layers of this town's history, be it amusing, informative, or in some instances, deeply moving. Confederates in Canada! The destruction of war and influenza! As Ross reminded us, "It was not that long ago."
