Brian dazzled my friends at the Halifax Christmas market with his unforgettably beautiful gems from this province, who then convinced a group of us to go for a private tour. I wasn’t sure what to expect but Brian was extremely impressive in his knowledge for gems, stones, fossils, geology, and history. Brian knew every stone on the beach we visited. He is very easygoing and loved answering all our questions. Overall, this was a wonderful tour and I learned so much. I highly recommend doing this if you love collecting different stones and learning!

I would give 25 stars if I could!!! Brian is the epitome of an expert in his field. We did the 'crystals & dinosaurs' tour with our 9 year old son and we all loved every minute of it. The scenery is breathtaking, being able to walk the ocean floor during low-tide is such a cool experience, and being guided by someone so knowledgeable and personable was such a treat! We left with a literal backpack full of rocks and tips and tricks on how to clean and polish them. Thank you Brian for the best part of our trip! The first batch of specimens are in the tumbler and I'll let you know how they turn out in like, a month haha

We did the Ocean Floor Fossil Tour for my 30th birthday and I cannot recommend this tour service enough. Brian was so cool, so knowledgeable, and so passionate about fossils, rocks, ancient animals, and local history. He also helped make the Joggins shore we walked an UNESCO Heritage Site. A true gem! If there was just one activity I'd recommend for a trip to Nova Scotia it would have to be this tour service.

We had a great tour of the Joggins fossil cliffs. Our 2 kids (ages 10 and 13) were highly engaged. Brian is knowledgeable about the fossils and history of the area. The tour was interactive, we could have spent hours on the beach. Brian also gave us some tips on other places to visit on the Bay of Fundy and where to look for fossils at our next destination in PEI. We booked the 1 h tour, we will be back for a longer tour, so much to learn about.

I attended the Crystals & Dinosaurs Tour and could not recommend it highly enough. Brian is an absolute pleasure and you could not ask for a more knowledgeable guide. He leads you through the geological history of the area as well as the incredible assortment of crystals that can be found at Wasson Bluff. He points out the locations of the Jurassic and Triassic areas in the cliffs and explains the paleologic discoveries found there. His passion is evident and his enthusiasm is infectious! The tour is very up close and hands-on, he hammers out portions of the rock to explain and display the way crystals grow and are harvested, as well as provides you with comprehensive information on how to clean anything you may come across and want to keep (which hopefully I will employ to clean what I found). I'd recommend bringing good shoes in case you want to scale some of the rock face to look into the crystal pockets, and a bag big enough to store any rocks you might want to take home. He is by far the best guide I've had on any walking tour and it was a lovely way to conclude my visit to Nova Scotia. I left the tour with the intention of returning to the Bay of Fundy if only to go on one of his tours in Joggins!

You absolutely need to take a tour with Brian. You will never look at rocks, the beach and cliffs the same way again. Brian reveals the extraordinary in something that to the untrained eye just looks like a regular rock.

We took a private crystals tour with Brian outside of Parrsboro in August 2022.

This is my third tour with Brian. I've taken a private fossil tour and also a group tour with him in the past.

Group tours are a great introduction. Private tours are amazing for their personal touch and in depth attention.

Brian is an absolutely amazing guide.

My rock and fossil hound son loves him. My son's first tour with Brian was when he was 6 years old. My son is now approaching his teens.

Brian's knowledge of local geology and history, rocks, minerals, crystals, and fossils is absolutely astounding.

He is over the moon passionate about his work. You can tell this is his life's purpose.

He is a published author, skilled field guide and researcher, and has made some noteworthy contributions to his field...including
unearthing fossils of new species.

He is professional and safety conscious but warm and funny. He is great with children... talking at their educational level but super interesting for adults also.

Brian is like one of those teachers in school who brings history to life for you.

I think of him as Atlantic Canada's Indiana Jones of the rock and fossil world.

We will come back for a different tour again soon.

Our family vacation to Nova Scotia was highlighted by the incredible geological walking tour we took with Fundy Treasures.
The four-hour experience we had with Brian was both educational and entertaining, and it offered something special for everyone in our group. Our guide, Brian, was truly exceptional — his deep knowledge of the local geology and gemology of the Bay of Fundy made the tour captivating from start to finish.

Brian’s ability to engage with our two young daughters was impressive; he kept them interested with fun facts about the gems and rocks we encountered. At the same time, he was able to dive into more complex discussions about the area's geological history with my older father, who has a keen interest in rock hounding. It was clear that Brian’s enthusiasm and expertise are unmatched, and he managed to connect with each of us on a personal level.

The tour was full of beautiful scenery and fascinating finds, from unique gemstones like agate and jasper to stunning rock formations. Brian’s passion for the natural world shone through, making the experience memorable and enjoyable. I can’t recommend Fundy Treasures highly enough

Wonderful experience! Brian is a very good guide with a lot of acknowledgments. This tour was interesting and helpful and we got our own specimens. I recommend 100% and if you hesitate just GO. I will definitely book for a future time. I loved this tour WoW!
