Do better guelph transit!! I booked on demand bus for sunday, it changed my STOP LAST MINUTE! I was waiting at the designated stop and bus arrived at the other stop( selected earlier) i got the message that the bus arrived and will only wait for a MINUTE, to my surprise, it was on the previous stop and at the end, i had to book an uber

Positives: I've only encountered only one unfriendly bus driver. The rest have been very polite and helpful. I was on a bus where people were being loud and the bus driver shut it down immediately and I appreciate that the driver didn't put up with the selfish people on the bus. Most buses that I took were on time.

Negatives: Some buses were really delayed, which is frustrating for transferring. The ticket scanner for transfers doesn't work all the time. The cash bus fare is far too high and having to pay for a transit card, especially for a child who is supposed to be free under 12, is ridiculous, as the child has to pay $5.00 for the card so they can get on for free - that defeats the purpose of a free bus ride. You also have to input their personal information, which I don't feel comfortable doing this. And if I don't want to do this, then the child has to pay the full bus fare of $3.25.

The drivers are so rude. They take up the back of the 4 and act as if you're invading their private space. I think children under 12 should ride for free. Where can they legally go by themselves at 10? Nowhere.

Drivers often not on schedule because of chatting with their colleagues, making abrupt stops DURING ROUTE to convenience stores to pick up drinks, etc. Waited over 2 hours once for the #2 bus; simply had no driver, and no other driver could explain what had happened. This was all during the summer. Kind of scared to see what is going to happen when school starts considering I've seen many complaints about buses passing you with "SORRY BUS FULL".

I thought I would take your service on my day off and didn't even make my transfer. Not only was the driver late by three minutes ( 10 Imperial road bus was supposed to arrive at 9:28). He was socializing with a passenger for half the ride. When I protested I missed my transfer. He told me I should learn the schedule. Great customer service. If it wasn't for people like me. You wouldn't have a job, thank you.

Completely unusable for anyone who needs to get to work on time. Buses run on an inconsistent schedule or just don't show up at all. Regular people face consequences when they're late for work, but Guelph Transit drivers do it every single day.

Have lived in Guelph over 5 years and this is easily the worst, most obsolete bus system I have ever used. Busses either come 10 mins early or late or straight up don’t show at all. If youre planning on going to work or somewhere important you might as well walk or leave an extra hour early if you want to make it. A lot of the drivers are nice but that doesn’t excuse garbage service when even the busses over in Kitchener/Cambridge are miles better. Maybe the city should stop funneling cash into crack heads and an unneeded police station upgrade and attempt to fix this obvious issue so people can rely on their transport.

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst customer service ever, with absolute a**hole drivers. The bus drivers could not care less if you're standing outside and knocking on the door to be let in, they just drive off without a care. I've had cases where the bus never even came to my stop, and I never got a reply to my email complaint. Today, just to add another example, I signalled to stop at my regular bus stop that's very close to my house (kortright and gordon). Instead the driver slowed down, then continued onto gordon, which is quite further away from my house. Not sure who drove bus 207, on route 58U, at 4:50ish, but he needs to learn that the 'stop request' sign means to stop at the next location not to the location thats convenient to him. Guelph, please hire more competent bus drivers.
