I cannot say enough good things about this past week at Harvest Lodge. From the moment we walked in the door, I felt welcomed. They hosted four of us veterans for a week of hunting and fishing and it was amazing. What I enjoyed most was the ability to disconnect from the world, gather at the table for the wonderful meals prepared by Karissa, and have great conversations with her and Jon, fellow veterans and the other four guests from Minnesota. The cabin had everything we needed, and I slept better than the previous months. This was my first hunt and my first fishing experience from a boat. I'm hooked on it all (no pun intended). They went above and beyond to accommodate our friend Dave who was in a wheelchair so that he could enjoy a satisfying hunting experience. Their genuine care and interest for people, the respect for the animals that are harvested and the experience they provide is evident in everything they do. I will remember this family and this experience for the rest of my life.

Wow! What a wonderful trip! I am a US Army veteran and a double am leg amputee. The owners had everything I needed ready to enjoy an incredible hunting experience! The lodge was beautiful and on the water… the staff was simply Top Notch… and the hunting and fishing was exceptional! I am in a manual chair and they were able to get me into an 8 wheeled vehicle and plop me and my chair right in the blind! The food that was served was incredible as well as the people I met there! Please do yourself a favor handicapped or not treat yourself to a truly first class hunting and fishing experience at Harvest Lodge!

I had the pleasure of bear hunting/fishing with my wife and dad in May of 2024. From the start, Jon and Karissa had a cabin ready to go, food cooking for dinner and a warm welcome when we arrived. As mentioned in another review on Google, Jon and Karissa are extremely nice and down-to-earth people. That night we met the other hunter "in camp" and his dad. Those guys were great and we made a new friend. We all instantly seemed to get a long and talked like we were long lost friends. This made the week a just a relaxed fun time. They gave us the run down on how the week would go, when meals would be ready and how to size-up bears. Jon and Karissa were very organized and on time for everything. Jon had an Argo and ATV's to get us out to the bait sites and tree stands. That Argo was impressive in being able to get us where we needed to go. We saw a lot of bears and took (2) archery and (1) with a rifle. I had a (15) bear night with some that may have been repeats but (9) different bears for sure. I had another night with (8) bears and night with (9) different bears coming in. It was non-stop bear activity for hours on every sit. After shooting a bear, they skinned them, quartered them and put them in the freezers to cool down so we could process them in the morning. We spent our last day fishing and just about caught (3) limits of Walleye and Northern Pike in just a few hours. They had boats and tackle ready to go for us. My wife and I try to spend 100 days in the field (outside our normal full-time crazy jobs) between hunting, shed hunting, horse back riding, scouting for the next hunt, etc. We are in a family of outfitters/hunting guides and this is life. Going to Harvest Lodge with Jon and Karissa was a blast. We all talked on the way home about what could have been done better and no one had anything to say. Having never done a Canada bear hunt before, they had us well prepared before getting there. The food was excellent, the cabin was clean and comfortable, they were organized and on time to get us to our stands, everyone was fun to be around, and they put us on good bears! I would hands down recommend them to anyone looking to do a bear hunt.

I am a wounded Combat Veteran this past may I had the opportunity to go to the Harvest Lodge through Field of Dreams. Jon and Karrissa Warkinten at the Harvest Lodge made this Veteran forget about all the stress of injuries and life. They put me on an amazing hunt, and they put me in the right spot to get a nice big bear. It felt like family while I was their great people and great location and place to relax and even get a little fishing in. Thank You Harvest Lodge for making me feel whole again and part of society.

The staff were some of the nicest people I had ever met. They insured we were comfortable every step of the way. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and put our party of 4 on bears every single night until we tagged out. The fishing was great too.
