What a beautiful little suite! When the gardens are fully established this beautiful gem of a stay just off the old island highway will be booked year round. The host Annette is a delight, very accommodating and works arduous her keen sense of garden design to bring to her guests tranquil stylish interior and exterior spaces for a couple to enjoy. BBQ on a full sun patio, or chill under the verandah and chase the hummingbirds with your eyes over a glass of Bordeaux - my son and I loved it!

We totally recommend a stay at Hawley's! This home is SUPER clean, safe and really beautiful. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay. We had lots of privacy and our room / bathroom were very comfortable and nicely decorated. The King bed was so nice to sleep in, and the linens and pillows were top notch. There is access to a fridge and ice to chill your beverages. I can't say enough good things about breakfast! There were so many choices and everything was really special, fresh and delicious, plus coffee/tea 24 hours. I actually asked for recipes! You would pay a lot for this type of quality food at any 5 star hotel, so the value of staying at Hawley's is very good. We're talking about bread made fresh every morning, just imagine smelling that when you wake up! It was great that you do not dine with other guests, the pretty breakfast room is booked just for you. This is like staying at a quality hotel, but with extra personal care and attention from wonderful, warm hosts. Mandy and Dwayne are very experienced when it comes to B&B's and know how to make guests relax and enjoy their time there. This home is also huge, with lovely gardens and the cutest (quiet) dog you ever did see . Absolutely great location, peaceful and serene, and great jumping off point to explore Vancouver Island. We loved our time there, thank you Mandy and Dwayne!

Hawley Place is a lovely Victorian style home with all of the modern comforts. Our room was clean, comfortable and peaceful. We woke to the aroma of freshly baked bread which we enjoyed with our choice of homemade jams. All of the food was fresh and delicious. Mandy and Dwaine are wonderful hosts and their two lovely dogs are friendly and well behaved. We really enjoyed our stay there and will definitely be back

I recently had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at Hawley Place and my only regret is that I couldn't stay longer! Mandy, Dwaine - and I cannot omit Charlie their adorable dog! - are the ultimate hosts and they instantly made me feel at home and well cared for. The home and gardens are truly stunning, my room was so spacious and comfortable, my breakfasts on the porch were filling, delicious and delightful and my interactions with them as well as the other lovely guests staying there really enhanced my overall experience. I will definitely be returning!

Mandy and Dwaine are the perfect hosts for a B and B. Mandy’s spunky English humour and warmth make you feel at home, while Dwaine’s delicious and beautifully plated breakfasts fill you up for hours so you can explore the quaint town of Ladysmith and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. The B and B is very clean and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed early morning coffee in comfy chairs on the wrap around porch, looking out at the birds in the garden. Nice place to read a book and relax. Super comfy bed and charming sitting area in our room’s bay window, which had privacy from neighbours because of the mature trees and shrubbery. Mandy and Dwaine are welcoming and accommodating hosts. We appreciated their restaurant recommendations. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much. Will definitely come back when we have a chance. We stayed in their king-size bedroom on the 2nd floor which is spacious, stylish and cozy, with plenty of natural light and a nice view outside of the window. The bed sheet is very smooth and the mattress is soft and comfy. The hosts are amazing and have been our personal chef for the delicious breakfast every morning. They try to use local ingredients and offered us home made bread, granola, etc. My husband had egg Benedict and I had scrambled eggs every morning because they were made perfectly and we didn't want anything else. We were on the island for a family emergency trip. Staying here definitely made this trip much easier. Thanks!

Mandy and Dwaine were absolutely amazing. They are very experienced hosts with over 40+ years of managing bed and breakfasts. We had such delicious breakfasts every single morning with tea and coffee anytime we wanted, either on the front porch or the sitting room. The family dog, Charlie, was such a treat for us too. ||||I almost didn’t want to write this review and keep this gem to myself, but this place is way too great not to share. Highly highly recommended! ||||Oh and everywhere was absolutely clean beyond imagination, cleaner than 99% of hotels.
