I loved staying here. The staff was amazing! They were so kind to me. They checked on me multiple times. When I checked out, the lady at the front was polite. While I was waiting for a taxi, the main manager even offered me a ride. That was so kind of him. They really made me feel special. Inside the room was clean, it looked so nice. There was enough toilet paper and they left a lot of soaps and shampoos. Also, in the drawers (which were clean) they left 2 extra pillows. I loved that!

Now onto the things that could be better. The sheets were really thin. They were nice if the weather was warmer, but I was a bit chilly some nights. Also the heat took a while to kick on and it took even longer to warm up the room by just a bit. But even then, it was still nice!

I definitely would come back here again. Please give this place a try!

First room was horrible! Smelled like Mold and other rotting things... There sheets were not changed from the previous guests, trim boards were half on half off (so much moisture damage that they were twisting off the wall), the main door barely shut, the light switch was broken, mirror was really dirty and god knows what else.. Didn't even want to set our bags down.. Went to the front desk to get a refund because that room was a joke and he said he would give us a "better room". Second room was better but I still had to clean. There was piss all over the front of the toilet, mirror was dirty, hair in the sink, looked like lettuce on the bottom shelf of the coffee table, food splattered in the microwave/ wall, the toilet takes about two flushes holding the leaver down, towels smelt of stale cigarette smoke ( non-smoking room) which was disgusting after your all nice and clean you wipe off and you smell like an ashtray and there was dust everywhere...||Probably why there is only three vehicles in the parking lot.||I would rather spend the extra $10-$30 bucks more and stay at a hotel with the room being clean. I defiantly do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! We switched to the Plains Motor Inn the next day. Which was not quite as run down as this place but at least it was clean! And cheaper to!

Outdated. Grungy. The smell of stale old smoke at the front office will singe your nose hair. The smell of my room was not much better. Light at the sink didn't work. Blanket had holes from what looked like cigarettes being put out on it. The place is poorly maintained inside and out.

Now for some Pros: I didnt die from using the stairs. The AC, fridge, microwave, and TV worked. Got the towels changed (hopefully clean ones) everyday. Had hot water for a shower.

Overall, it's ok for someone who needs to stay there for just a night if absolutely nothing else is available. Not for someone who will be in town for a week or more, unless you have pretty low standards.

I wanted to give this place a glowing 5 star review, I really did, as many small businesses really need that feedback and good review. But if I'm being completely honest, it was a cold night. The blankets are rather thin and even after I cranked the thermostat to 30, I still found myself having a lot of trouble shaking the chill in the room. Either the thermostat or maybe just the insulation in the building is f***ed up. Who knows. But after spending money on a warm bed to sleep in, I found the bed really wasn't that warm and woke up rather tired.

The owner was nice enough and we bantered a bit. No complaints there.

Maybe just leave an extra blanket in the rooms when the weather is hitting -20 or below because no one should consider sleeping in their clothing at a motel room to stay warm. I wish heartland Lodge much luck however and will likely still return and give it another shot. Godspeed

Was traveling through on a Friday night thinking that there would be ample rooms available in Stettler. I ended up having to book a room here. This place only had 4 vehicles in the parking lot which told me lots. The place is quite old with very little upkeep. Rooms are spacious but outdated, old furniture, old television, towels are quite small. We slept with our clothes on which also tells you about the place. My wife and I didn't feel comfortable at all. I wont stay here again. Cost $ 87.00 tax included.

A lot of workers stay here. The manager, George, is friendly and accommodating, But the wifi didn't work, the microwave kept beeping at us, the bathroom floor was gross. We got a good price for a motel, but... won't do that again.

Had a very good experience staying for a week in stettler while there for a week. The price was comparatively cheaper then the other places in town. Rooms were clean and maintained with cleaning on a daily basis. The owner was very accommodating and made sure our stay was pleasant. I would definitely recommend the place if staying for work, a night, or multiple days

On opening the door to my room #10 I was hit with an undesirable scent. I guess moldy best describes it. I used my cologne to lighten it up, but I believe taking out the carpet and replacing it is the best formula. I had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door handle. The old guy wanted to know why? I cant give this place more than a star.
