I stayed here for a couple nights. The building is very old and pretty unique. Don't let the exterior of the building scare you away. The hotel was clean, though could use some minor improvements that would make quite a difference: like fixing the molded caulking and leaking sink aerator in the bathroom, replacing the old shower curtain, and cleaning dead bugs out of ceiling lights. The breakfast is lacking (though that's kind of expected in a small town)

The staff were very friendly and I ordered food from the restaurant one night. It was good.

I would stay here again if my work brings me out this way.

Interesting place! I made reservations there because of the 5* reviews. I must say the sweet couple that run this hotel are such nice hard working people! They are doing an amazing job. This hotel is clean, the chinese food is very good. I was going to book online for $75.00 which would have been the cheapest 5 * hotel I have ever stayed at! But I phoned instead and was charged $85.00, a minor difference I figured. This place is very old, but clean. We had a very quiet nite. The rooms have TV, bed, fridge, microwave, closet and drawers. The window air conditioners are very loud, and we found the beds hard. They are not pillow top mattresses, which is why I gave a 4 star rating. Pillow top mattresses and bigger pillows would be a 5* review for me. However, I give a hugw shout out to this couple who work so very hard to give their guests a great stay. Breakfast was good, yoghurt, boiled eggs, toast, cereal, juice coffee, butter tarts, (YUM)...Thank you for a nice quiet nite..

I have only eaten in restaurant and never seen the rooms. The restaurant is clean and friendly so I expect the rooms would be the same.
The food here is cheap, hot and tasty. The couple running the place are friendly and hard working. I wish that they had more business.
Dining room is comfortable. The do seem to get a lot of evening takeout business. Their menu conists of the standard Chinese and Western Canadian items.

Probably the most unique hotel I've stayed in. Friendly service, very clean and spacious room. Free breakfast was very good - cereals, yogurt, donuts, toast, fresh fruit, and more. Great value.

My room had very eclectic furnishings and style but it was clean and the bed was very comfy. I spent 2 nights there and had a great sleep both nights because it was so nice and quiet! The owner couldn't speak very fluent English but she was very pleasant. The breakfast was just cold cereal, toast and coffee but that was good enough for me. Excellent price...will stay again if the need arises!

Absolute gem of a place! Beautiful architecture, massive rooms, gracious and welcoming hosts. There was complimentary breakfast in the morning as well, of toast, cereals, and some fruit. I'd 100% recommend coming here to anyone who is considering staying, it was lovely.

Old building but quaint. Bedrooms clean and well organized. Continental style serve yourself breakfast. Good variety. Downstairs restaurant for lunch and supper. Excellent variety of Chinese and Canadian food. Nice restaurant atmosphere to sit and visit with family or friends.
