It took us almost 4 hours to complete the 13km rafting/tubing. Most of the time you don't need to paddle, just relax and have fun.

The organizer will take care of all things including parking at the conservation area, all the gear for tubing, rafting, or whatever you select. Also, travel from the parking to the upstream where you will start tubing.

Also, make sure to bring some food and water as you will be on the river for almost 4 hours. You can always park your tube on the side of the river to relax, have food, and just have fun.

Also, they offer some shorter distances if you don't want to do tubing for that long.

Looking for a fun little adventure close to home? The Paris to Brantford river trip on the Grand River is perfect if you want to spend a few hours outdoors without going far. This part of the river is wide, calm, and super beginner-friendly, so you don’t need any experience to enjoy it. Just grab your paddle, hop in, and let the water carry you.

The trip usually starts in Paris, which is such a cool little town with old buildings, cafés, and shops. Once you’re on the river, it’s all about relaxing. The current moves at an easy pace and the scenery is beautiful—trees along the banks, birds flying overhead, and sometimes turtles or herons hanging out along the water. It feels peaceful but never boring.

Depending on your speed (and how many times you stop for snacks or swimming), the ride to Brantford takes about 3 to 4 hours. Some people canoe, some kayak, and others just chill in a big raft. It’s not “whitewater rafting” crazy—it’s more of a laid-back paddle with a few gentle currents to keep it interesting.

When you finish in Brantford, you’ll feel refreshed and like you had a little adventure, but not totally wiped out. The company usually takes care of the shuttle back to Paris, which makes it super easy.

Honestly, it’s an awesome trip for families, friends, or even if you just want some solo time outside. Affordable, close by, and a great way to spend a sunny day. Highly recommend trying it at least once—you’ll probably end up wanting to go again!

This was my second time using this service! We love it! Both times we were a group of six, and every one of us are already planning our next trip.
They have an amazing team working for them, too! On launching and landing. They made sure we were well taken care of. One member even gave me a hand up out of the kayak when my tired legs didn't want to work lol.
Honestly, I can't tell you enough about them. They're just incredible.

My family (with 7 and 11 year old children) did the Five Oak (tubing and kayaking). We had a great time even tho we got rained on during our trip. The owner was responsive and helpful with my inquiries via email prior to the trip. The staffing (from booking, transport and on location staff) were all very professional and friendly. We would definitely consider doing it again.

What a great way to spend the day out on the water alongside nature and its beauty. The staff were very friendly and informative, and their equipment is well taken care of. We did the trip from Paris to Brantford at a slow pace which brought us to 4.5 hours. Awesome company and experience, we look forward to the next trip down the Grand through them!

Such a disappointing experience. The river rafting in Brantford was a complete letdown. The staff were disorganized, the equipment was poorly maintained, and the entire trip felt unsafe and unprofessional. We waited far too long with no clear instructions, and once on the river, there was zero guidance or support. The raft was uncomfortable and didn’t feel secure at all.

This was supposed to be a fun and memorable experience, but instead, it was stressful, boring, and badly managed. Definitely not worth the money or time. I would **not recommend this place to anyone** looking for a safe and enjoyable rafting trip. Total waste.
