There are plenty of parking spaces available. Although many of the trees were still green that day, some were displaying a beautiful mix of green, yellow and red. The scenery of early fall here was beautiful.

There are picnic areas, and small wooden bird houses in the trees, and some people were walking their dogs that day as well.

The park needs to be fully paved it's been years that have never been completed ,grooming of the grass has never much been cut as well , could be a really beautiful park for all citizens but seems the north of this city the taxes keep going up and nothing is given back to the taxpayers

September 27, 2021 Enjoyed a picnic on a beautiful evening. The park is going through some upgrades that were sorely needed. It’s still a great park and once the renovation are done it will be even better. Lots of green spaces and trails to walk around on. There is a brand new Frisbee Golf â›łïž course.

Love this park. I have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the experience. The park is right beside the North Saskatchewan River. There is washroom facilities available. There is lots of parking. Plenty of park benches and picnic tables are available. There is a sheltered picnic area that you can rent. I love this park and definitely recommend coming here for a relaxing stroll or picnic.

First time I was there. we went for the fishing. it's such a beautiful place and very well kept.. very nice people. The dogs were quite nice when they're walking around in the park area. They were on leash in park area. off leash in the appropriate area for that. the playground, I didn't really look around to see if there was a playground. We did see people were canoeing. they also have disc golf which I know a lot of people do like. The picnic areas are fantastic. The tables are well kept. The grass is cut very well. Not very many weeds. And they have a lot of fire pit stoves to make a wonderful barbecue. There is a large area that can be rented for a bigger event. I really like that place. I'm going back again for sure 😊

Excellent park just north of the more popular Rundle park. It features two large ponds and plenty of off-leash dog walking trails and paths. The southern pond is stocked with trout every May by the city for fishing. Visitors to the park will often see geese, ducks, muskrats, and even pelicans inhabiting the ponds. One can stick to the main trail and walk for hours, or venture off riverside for a more scenic view. Compared to Rundle, picnic and grill areas are few and far between. However, if walking and viewing nature is your primary desire, Hermitage wins. The walking trail that loops the northern pond contains two observation docks and benches perfect for a romantic stroll.

Sitting on the docks soaking in the rays and nature has become one of my partner and I's favorite activities. The people we meet are friendly and it is thoroughly enjoyable.

However, be advised and use your common sense: close to and after sunset it is not a safe place, especially if you're alone.
