It very much had a Bate's Motel vibe when we pulled in and it looked a bit run down, but that bed was comfortable. The room I had also had a private balcony which was very nice. Most people would give a place like this a 2 or 3 star rating, but for the price, the bed and the amazing water pressure in that shower, 5 stars all day long.

We had to show up late around 11:30pm and the staff inside were very nice and quick to provide my family 2 rooms. We took rooms 8 and 5, both we're clean and overall very quite. They also had different layouts surprisingly, which was kind of nice to see. The following morning we left but I accidently left behind a small item in one of the rooms. The next day I still was in town and called to see if they still had it and they did so I came back and picked it up which was very nice!

So clean! Inexpensive, friendly, well appointed motel room. It is small, but charming. There's live plants hanging in the window and other dust-free decorations to brighten up the place. There are lots of surfaces, such as chairs and side tables to store your stuff. And did I mention the room was clean? Immaculate! Definitely one of the better value hotels in Thunder Bay, great for an Northern Ontario Medical Grant budget. Will definitely stay again!

This is very nice, clean, quiet hotel. The beds were comfortable and had lots of pillows. It’s not a fancy hotel and it could use some updating but everything worked fine. ||They are pet friendly and even have a grassy area for walking your furry friend. ||I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews but we had no issues whatsoever. Our room was very clean and there was lots of hot water, no smoke smell or any other odors.||I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

First of, the room we got had a really strong smell of urine. The bath was disgusting and the bed linens were having a yellow tint. Not even an hour in this room and we were itching from everywhere. We were told that it was the last room available but when the owner was confronted, he suddenly had other rooms to offer. Funny enough, others left the motel not even an hour before us! Make your own conclusion. At least we got half our money back.

We stayed here when my family was travelling through. This is an older motel with nothing fancy, nor is it trying to be. The most important part was that everything was very clean, well maintained and the beds were comfortable. The train tracks go right behind the hotel, however I didn’t hear any trains while we were sleeping.

After staying at some of the new hotels in Thunder Bay and some of the not so new hotels in Thunder Bay and paying the very high rates, I decided to look for a new place to stay in the city, I had to be at the airport in the early morning, so I looked for somewhere close to the airport. I found The Holiday Inn Motel and after reading a number of favorable reviews, I decided to try it. I was delighted!||The room was updated and very clean, the bed was very comfortable. I could see that the room had been renovated and the renovations were of good quality. Parking was right outside my door, not far to carry my bags or my puppy. I will definetley be staying here again. I should mention that the room had a fridge and microwave. Oh and one other thing, that is very important to me, as I was doing some studying online, their internet was excellent! Highly recommend this for a quick good nights sleep at a reasonable price.
