Just recently had our first experience staying in a Bed and Breakfast. It was amazing. The couple that run this place are two of the best. Always and smile and great conversation. What can I say about the breakfasts other than they were truly amazing. If you ever left this breakfast hungry there must be something wrong with you. Breakfast started at eight and always included one hot dish of the day. Don't think I have ever tasted pancakes like that in my life. Our room had two single beds and was a little on the small side but very comfortable and well equipped with every thing you could need. Very quiet in the evenings even though there were two other rooms on the same floor. Lovely old home in a beautiful neighbour hood. Would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. You will not be disapointed if you stay here.

We stayed over the weekend and were very comfortable. The room had everything we needed and the bed was super comfortable. We had to set out early both days, and the hosts were very understanding and accommodating. Having easy access to coffee in the morning and a lovely breakfast packed up made us sleep even better. What is most amazing is how they helped us find alternative accommodations for a friend. Instead of just giving us the names of other b&b's, they called around looking for availability and even checking out the places before offering recommendations. It meant that our friend ended up somewhere great, too! Don't hesitate to book this place - you won't be disappointed.

Our host was so accommodating - made us a tasty breakfast for our very early check in. Our room was clean and tidy. Had a lovely visit with our host and enjoyed our conversations on the front patio while storm watching with him. It was close to the Hamilton airport and very convenient. We would be happy to stay here again!

We stayed at Homestead House on a cold wintry night in February. Our hosts were very welcoming and the setting in a historic home was warm and inviting. Our room was very comfortable with all the modern conveniences including an updated and immaculately clean bathroom and shower, TV, internet and an extremely comfortable bed.||The location was convenient being so close to the Hamilton airport and the city itself as we were in town to go to a live show at a local venue.||Breakfast, served by our our Swiss hosts, was complete, delicious and a great start to the day. A big thank you to Bernie and Verena for making us so comfortable. We will be back!

my wife and I enjoyed our stay here and recommend this place to anyone requiring a place to stay. this B & B is located near to the Hamilton airport as well as the historical aircraft museum. in addition, the breakfasts were delicious feasts of variety of bread, cheeses, fruit, bagels, yogurt without having your breakfast plate made according to your liking. the hosts were very accommodating and provided a welcoming environment.

From the day I made the reservation to the day we checked out, our experience with Homestead House could not have been better. Even before I completed my reservation process, Bernie answered my questions almost immediately via e-mail. (We wanted a place to store our bicycles and he said "No problem!")||||Verena met us at the door when we arrived and welcomed us to our home for three days.||||We stayed in the Red Room, which has a comfortable queen-size bed, a chair with ottoman, two bedside tables, and a dresser. The lighting in the room is adequate for anything from watching TV to reading. The bathroom appears to be a converted closet. It's not large, but certainly adequate. And the curved glass block wall enclosing the shower is unique and attractive.||||The B&B is a few hundred metres from Upper James Street, which can take you through areas of retail, restaurants, open fields, and who knows what else. But you're not out in the middle of nowhere. In fact, you are no more than 20 minutes from the centre of Hamilton. Although we drove, we were amazed at the B&B's proximity to the Hamilton airport. It is, quite literally, just down the street. (Although we couldn't hear any airplanes from inside our room, so I wouldn't worry about noise being a problem.)||||As noted by others, the breakfasts were wonderful. Yes, the food was good, but the company of other guests and Verena and Bernie made all the difference. Sharing good conversation, interesting experiences, and good coffee make for a great start to the day.||||Finally, I cannot say enough about the hospitality of Verena and Bernie. From recommendations for our biking excursion, to advice on parking in Hamilton, to accommodating guests' requests, they could not have been nicer. (Bernie even drove one guest to the airport, in lieu of calling a taxi, to pick up his rental car. Something like that is not required, but certainly appreciated.) ||||If you are looking for a home away from home in Hamilton, you would do well to visit Homestead House.

Homestead House was a great find. It is comfortable and provides everything you need at a reasonable price. Go through them directly to book as they give the best rate over any of your advertising companies. Owners Verbena and Bernie are wonderful people and very helpful. Verbena is a good cook and the breakfasts are impressive...cooked breakfast plus an assortment of other foods set out like cereal, fresh fruit, jams, etc. This is an 100 year old house, so do not expect modern or too roomy. Rooms are average bedroom size, all with a small bathroom included. Bed was very comfortable and I personally was quite comfortable there in every way. I would gladly return. PS- Verbena knew I was going on a hike and put a muffin in a bag for me to take with me!

スイスから来たBernie さんと Verenaさんご夫婦は最高に素晴らしい方たちでした。||日本から来た私たちにカナダらしい朝ごはんを毎回作ってくれて、それがどれもsuper delicious！　本場のメープルシロップを使ったパンケーキは、東京で並んで食べたホットケーキの比じゃないくらい、旨し。お部屋も清潔でお庭も素敵でした。||トロントから電車で一時間くらいの郊外にあるこちらは、都会からの喧騒が苦手な方にピッタリだと思いますよ。また、ハミルトン空港を利用する場合は車で１０分くらいかな。とても便利な場所にあります。||カナダの自然と人の優しさに触れたかったら、是非ともお薦めの宿です。
