Booked This Trip With Steve Far In Advanced, went off of his website that said it was an exclusive bed and breakfast, anyways chatted with him and sent him 3000 CAD , we drove from Alberta to BC Then To Port McNeil to his place, ( wasn’t sure if I was at the right house cause the pictures do not look the same as I address I was given , will attach photos ) Steve Cahill was not home when it was check in time he had his mom who is 90 plus & told us she is partially blind and she said watch your step don’t trip over this hose and stuff on ground ( very unprofessional) we get to the basement of the house . . . She couldn’t get the door open ( she said to us the lock is sticky ) I will get my husband ) finally we get the door open and they show us around & it was absolutely disgusting 🤮 , washroom toilet pube hairs and dirt n dust all over bathroom garbage full, towels not folded , bugs in bed sheets , bugs on floor ( I could go on and on please comments I will attach videos and photos with time stamps, we gave him a 3000 deposit, I have videos and more photos of anyone wants to see, , do your self a favour and check this place out before sending a deposit and getting screwed like we did , now we will do this the legal way and contact the right ppl this place is not sanitary

I come back every year. Steve from Hook'n Them Up Fishing Charters always puts me on the fish. He treats me and my guests just like they are family. He has a fast large boat and lots of experience. Thank you to Paul(steve's dad) for assistant guiding & to Sharon ( his mom) for making great meals and ( Lily his daughter) for helping processing fish. They have great accommodations as well and will make you feel right at home.

We had a great experience. The only problem was that he was too good. We caught our 3 person quota of Halibut within about an hour of fishing including one almost 40 pounder. This guy knew his stuff. Hope to go again with Steve for sure. I recommend trying him out

We booked our trip to BC with Steve last summer. It was so great. Steve is very knowledgeable about what he does. He put us on fish everyday. We caught a couple of nice halibut which was fun. We caught very nice salmon everyday. The lodge and meals, we haven't had better and we have been to Alaska several times. Steve would set the crab pots each day and we would get them each night and have crab every night along with the meal his mother would prepare for us. Steve, and his parents were a great skipper and hosts. Would recommend to anyone! Going again soon.

We had an awesome time! As a first timer, Steve was a good teacher and I caught my salmon limit after losing a few while getting the hang of it. The halibut fishing was great fun as well and even though the weather didn't cooperate on the 3rd day, we still caught salmon. Whales were icing on the cake too. Steve knows these waters and knows where the fish are. He sincerely wants his clients to catch their daily limit. We had a blast. Thanks!

Our family of 5 went out with Captain Steve in early August this year. This friendly and personable Captain met us and launched on time. Although we left in fog we had no issues getting quickly and safely to our fishing spot in his Robust and well equipped Sea Ray. Having fished the area before years ago (even using some of the same gear) I suspected we had a pretty good chance of catching a few fish. I was quite pleasantly surprised when Steve kept all of us busy reeling in salmon for the duration of the day! Can’t say we saw other boats doing the same. Overall a great experience! Steve ensured we all enjoyed ourselves even going so far as to slow his boat down in choppy waters to ensure that the youngest of our group (5 years old) felt comfortable when returning to port at the end of the day. Thanks for a great and memorable day Captain Steve!

I went on a Charter with Steve last weekend and had the time of my life. Steve got us into fish in every spot he took us, and I have a freezer full to prove it! His extensive expertise on the water had us feeling safe, and comfortable for the whole day. I am extremely grateful to have had this experience and will definitely be booking with him again. I was astonished at his respect for, and knowledge of marine life, I learnt about a lot of different animals that we also got a chance to see! His gear is top notch, and his vessel is sound and comfortable. Don't think twice before booking with this true professional, not only will you have a blast you will hook into some great fish!

I just spent 4 days with HOOK'EM UP guide service in Port McNeill. I have to give Steve & his family a total 5 star rating. This was our first trip to BC and we are hooked. (No pun intended) The fishing was incredible. Steve knows how to get you on fish. We managed to get every species we we're after. The lodge was clean and very comfortable. 3 home cooked meals a day and the food was delicious. We saw so much wildlife, from bear to whales, a cougar, sea lions, seals and more
