$1,200/month for Rat Infestations & a Cybertruck

This is not a home—it’s a health hazard. For $1,200/month (the price of a real apartment), you get:
- Screw heads jutting out of warped, moldy floorboards (a DIY "fix" that screams neglect).
- A toilet that flushes only when it feels like it.
- Rats partying in the ceiling like they pay rent.
- A front door so crooked you can watch daylight frame the entire room.

Meanwhile, the landlord drives a $150,000 Cybertruck while refusing basic repairs. This isn’t housing—it’s exploitation.

PS: BC tenancy laws forbid retaliatory evictions. Funny how that works😉

The lady when I checked in was nice and friendly but that's were the positive comments end. If you want to spend money on a room where you can't shower, use the WiFi or watch what you want from the guide on tv and you don't mind a weird smell or shoddy renovations and built up grime in the bathroom then this place is for you. The room we were in had an unpleasant smell. I thought it smelled like a room that had previously been smoked in a lot but my daughter thought it smelled musty. Needless to say, it did not smell good. The room was dated and it looked like they tried to update some of it based on the bad tiling job in the bathroom and the paint all over the mirror and closet rod. The shower did not work. I tried to shower but only hot water came out of the shower head. No matter how much cold I turned on, the shower head would only spray hot water. So, I opted to try to wash in the bath tub, for which there was no plug. But, it didn't need a plug because about 1/3 of the way through my "shower" the tub was about 3/4 full of water because it drained so slowly! The corners on the tub and on the bathroom floor had gross, built up grime. The air-conditioning had a light switch type switch on the wall for on or off with no temperature adjustment so in the middle of the night I had to get up and turn it off because it was so cold in our room. There were no extra blankets and only a sheet and a thin bedspread on the bed. In the morning I tried to turn the heat on in the bathroom so I wouldn't freeze after my shower but the baseboard heater didn't work. They only give you two bath towels and two face clothes, no hand towels. Any hotel I've ever stayed in always has all three options, hand towel included. They offer free WiFi but the WiFi network did not show up on the list of available networks at 11pm but it was there in the morning so I'm thinking they turn it off at night. I haven't stayed in any other hotel where there is no WiFi for certain hours. We stayed in a room which had a code on the door knob rather than a key or a swipe card so anyone who knew the code could get into your room if didn't lock the deadbolt. The tv was tiny and it was hard to see from the bed and the channels were so limited that we gave up trying to watch anything. I paid $161 for the room after taxes and it wasn't even worth $61. I definitely will not be staying there again or recommending this place to anyone.

Aug 4 2018||||We got to the hotel early and had to wait 8 hrs to check in. The lady at the front desk had asked us to fill out the paper work for the accommodation. We filled them out and when we handed them back she asked us how we were going pay. We told her credit card and she instantly set up the machine. This is where we went wrong cause normally I wouldn’t have paid before my stay and even before checking in to the room and making sure it’s uo to par . So we paid her and asked when we could get the keys. She told us at 3pm. We originally spoke to her husband on the phone to confirm the check in before we came and he told us 2pm. We asked her if we could come at 2 like we comfirmed. She she no sorry she is trying. 8 hrs later of triedly woundering around awaiting some rest time we came back for the key with all our belongings and suitcases, super exicted to have a nap! We unlocked the door to the start of our nightmare !!!! As we opened the door to a dark and dingy atmosepre we looked around to find the horribly out dated room. This room looked like the 50s and it was never touched with cleaning supplies EVER!!!!! There was holes in the walls and water stains on the celining. The bathroom light/fan was falling held there by one screw about to give out. When it was turned on the dust swarmed around the light before consuming all of the bathroom air. The floor throughout the room was cracked and lifting. It felt as if it was going to break apart completely while walking on it. We had to keep shoes on so our feet didn’t get cut up by the raggedy floor we had to walk on. The bed was held up on a wooden slat that was homemade for the bed. This room was completely disgusting. By this time we were so tried we needed to rest up to be able to continue on so we freshened up and for ready to nap. We were asleep for approx 1 hr when my bf jumped up scrashing his neck. He started rubbing his neck then woke me up and told me to check the bed. I was half asleep and freaked out from what he was saying. I followed through and started lifting up the pillow I was sleeping on to my surprise to find 3 bed bugs crawling around it. We think they had just bitten my bf and when he jumped up they hid under my pillow cause when we looked his pillow didn’t have bugs crawling. Clearly when we saw the 3 is when freaking out took place . So we got off the bed and started invesigating it to find every 5 mins another few bugs were crawling on by .... we killed about 12 of them before getting grossed out. My bf got 9 bites in 1 hr !!!!!! We went down to the car and slept there that night and in the am we spoke to the lady at the front counter.. her reaction was very matter a fact . She said sorry and gave us a refund. She told us there was no other rooms to put us in so ......? We had stayed in our car, for the rest of our 3 day vacation.

Its very budget friendly. Only two pillows. No cups or glasses. No coffee pot no microwave. It does have a mini fridge that keeps things quite cold. The TV needed to be reprogramed every time you wanted to watch it. Bed was comfy. Location is very central. The lady at the lobby was very friendly and helpful. Book directly with hotel to get better rate. No pool could have used one on the hot days.

Management is very understanding of your needs when you are going to stay long term. Needs to have someone in office more than they are now. That cleans and maintains interior and exterior issues where they arrise more important to make sure that the daily mail and parcels incoming daily are delegated to the right suite or to be there to receive.

Upon checking in, we opened the door to the room which smelled like an old musty cabin. The bed didn’t have a quilt, rather a polyester throw that didn’t even cover the whole bed. The laminate floorboards were curling up around the edges from a spill of some sort. There was no toilet paper or soap in the room so I had to go to the front desk to obtain some before even settling in.
There was a used towel left behind from the last guest, as well as old stir sticks laying about.
The toilet had a spot of pee behind the lid which was left open, and the bathtub still had soap stains on the ledge from the previous guest.
The only furniture to speak of had carvings in it from years of use - or abuse, if you will.
We stayed two nights and didn’t receive any room service; the second day, I had to go back again to the front desk to receive new towels. Upon telling the receptionist - who also appeared to manage the place - that I needed the towels because we didn’t get any room service, she just said “Oh.”
Definitely do not recommend, and will not be returning. Not worth $130 a night.

Had to give it 1 star to leave a review but would have liked to give a 0. Drove 6 hours to pick up a car part and booked to stay here. The lady aggressively told us that we could not stay as they would not accept Expedia bookings because Expedia was ripping them off. Tried to sympathize but she took her anger out on us and said we were not welcome to stay unless we pay the full price again directly to her. Would not book here if you actually want a place to stay.
