We originally came to this location to try Mr. sub once inside we figured out it was a Mr. sub a Chesters chicken a Canadian two for one pizza in many of other stores. I guess I should’ve read the sign above where it said Houston Food market place was clean. The service was top shelf The chicken was made fresh they had many of baked goods pizzas drinks, knickknacks all over the place. I would recommend this place to family and friends and anyone travelling through Houston British Columbia the price very decent and I will be returning for future menu items. Thank you, Chesters.

Best selection of snacks and food here, I live in burns lake at least 45 minutes away but always worth the trip, pizza, fried chicken, subs, baked goods 😋 my favorite is the frozen yogurt mixed with fruits of your choice. I recommend stopping here if you're hungry or have the munchies 👀

The store is more than just a mere food market. Nice little dollar store. Lots of variety. I'll go there once in a while for chicken at lunch time. Always really good and fresh... Or I will have a sub sandwich...and it's a welcome change from Subway.

Customer service here is bottom of the barrel. Went in to get chicken, person ahead ordered a four piece and taters and then walked away. So did the person serving. She went and talk to another co-worker and after that started doing something in the subs. She completely ignored me. So when she finally came to serve me i ordered a four piece combo. There were two chicken breasts, three legs and a wing plus a lot of tenders and taters. She said there was not enough chicken to make a four piece... so i said ok a three piece. She said no only individual pieces. She said i can buy four pieces individually. I said no and walked away. My sister asked where my chicken was and i told her what went on. The lady behind the til (owners wife) was told and she went to get her husband. He said that a four piece contains one of this and one of this etc etc. we said its not out fault you dont have those pieces. He should have given the four pieces for advertised price to keep two customers happy and then went to people working for him and told them to ensure there is sufficient chicken at dinner time. Customers should not leave feeling like his bottom line matters more then frequent loyal customers. I will not be ordering my chicken and pizzas from here again.

The Houston Mart is a great store with friendly staff and they make awesome pizza and chicken, and they have very yummy ice cream. They are always happy and smiling when you walk in.
