Our family had an unforgettable experience with Hunt Fish Maniac, and I can't recommend them enough! Our guide, Paul, went above and beyond to ensure we had a superior stay. The accommodations were beautiful, well-kept cabins that offered breathtaking views of the ocean. We were treated to stunning early mornings and serene late evenings, often catching glimpses of seals and dolphins passing by.

One of the highlights of our trip was the incredible chef who provided a delightful variety of flavors in each meal, making every dining experience a beautiful conclusion to our adventurous days on the water.

As for the fishing, we enjoyed exhilarating excursions targeting salmon, ling cod, and rockfish. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and Paul was amazing in every aspect, from locating the fish to expertly cleaning and sealing them for our journey home.

This trip allowed us to enjoy Powell River to the fullest without any stress. All we had to do was show up, and Hunt Fish Maniac took care of the rest. We can't wait to return for another incredible adventure!

What an amazing fishing experience once again! My husband and I decided to book another trip with Hunt Fish Maniac Charters after experiencing the most incredible time last summer with our aunt and uncle. Paul’s expertise and enthusiasm makes for an epic fishing experience you will not forget! He went above and beyond to ensure we had a superb time. We caught ling cod, salmon, rockfish, prawns and crab. Everyday was full of action on the water!

After our full day of fun, it was back to the oceanfront cottage where we would relax on the porch with stunning views watching whales and dolphins pass by from time to time. They even have a personal chef you can add to your stay and the dinners are always scrumptious with more than you can eat - at least for me!

An epic adventure! Every time I travel to fish with Paul of Hunt, fish, maniac; he never disappoints. When we started each day, Paul had everything ready- gear prepped, boat stocked, and even coffee on hand. He took the time to explain the plan for the day based o the weather, tides, water conditions and target species. It's very clear he knows his waters like the back of his hand. I considered each day of fishing a personalized experience. Fishing was fantastic...we caught salmon, ling cod, rock fish, and the spot pawning was just an added bonus.

Powell River and the surrounding areas provide some of the most beautiful scenery in all of British Columbia. Paul's newly built oceanfront cottage is great...it provides all the amenities you could ask for. Relaxing on the deck, it's not uncommon to watch whales, porpoise, sea lions and otters swim by. And after a full day of fishing, you can relax in the hot tub and enjoy your favorite drink.

If you're considering a guided fishing trip with great accommodations, I highly recommend going with someone who not only knows how to put you on th fish, but also creates a relaxed and fun experience. I've already booked another trip for next season!

We had an incredible day on the boat with Paul. He was knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience! The crab, prawn, and cod caught were amazing. My family and I had the most memorable experience on our fishing charter trip with Paul. From the moment we boarded, Paul made us feel welcome and excited for the day ahead. He was patient with my kids, ages 9 and 13, teaching them about different fishing techniques and marine life along the way.
We caught a variety of fish, including some impressive ones that the kids were thrilled to reel in.
The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with top-notch fishing gear. We felt safe and well taken care of throughout the trip. The highlight for us was seeing the excitement on our kids' faces as they experienced the thrill of reeling in their first big ocean fish.

The most Epic fishing trip. I have fished all over central and North America, Paul Marier is the most knowledgeable fishing guide I have met. Paul was recommended to me by one of my long time best friends and I was impressed. What an amazing day. All we needed to do is show up with our fishing license and salmon stamp. We caught ling cod, salmon and prawns. Everyone of us (4) caught 2-3 fish. A special treat to even cook some of the prawns right on the boat while we were watching sea lions. We all are high school friends that are retired looking for an adventure to enjoy ourselves each year. This charter made the trip special. It was a plus that he has a bathroom on board.

Paul is so knowledgeable and friendly he fit right in with the group. He is very involved in community so he sent us to some of the best restaurants, parks, trails, etc. All his ratings are 5 stars and you will see why if you book a trip with him. His rates are reasonable and competitive with other charters.

Powell River!

Hunt Fish Maniac Outfitters delivered an incredible week from start to finish. Once on the water, Captain Paul put us right on the fish. We caught salmon, flounder, lingcod, rockfish, prawns, and even pulled up Dungeness crab traps — nonstop action all day.
Also we added a scenic helicopter flight into a remote fish camp near Powell River — truly breathtaking terrain.

Paul’s expertise and enthusiasm made it a top-tier experience. If you’re after an unforgettable fishing trip in British Columbia with epic scenery and serious results, this is the one. Highly recommend!
