This conversation area is not that huge...but the raw beauty of nature and experience of marshlands can be observed together. Paths are narrow which gives you proper sense of exploring a conversation area. With respect to parking, not much options. There are lots of birds and other small animals can be seen in the area. Be mindful of different types of insets/flies specifically MOSQUITOS. Don't forget to take mosquito/insect repellent with you!

You can park of Douglas Sports Centre or Lakefield Beach and Playground area. For free as there are no paid parking. Ppl also park on or around the Hague Blvd circle. If you start walking on the left from Lakefield beach, which takes you around the perimeter of the trailer park area. You can enjoy the sights and sound of marshland along the way. Fishing is also popular in Otonabee River.

If you were hoping to imagine a marsh you'll be sadly disappointed. There's a real one right there. All you have to do is look at it. I guess it takes the work out of imagining one but this actual marsh is much better than anything I could dream up. There's not much else to do there, it's a small corner of the larger park. It's been going downhill a bit, overgrown and the nifty dock they had there a few years back collapsed. The boardwalk through the woods has seen better days but the whole trailer park including the marsh you don't have to imagine is a good walk and nice waterside scenery. If you really wanted to, the other side of the park doesn't have a marsh. You could imagine one over there.

This place is great as part of a short walk around the campground point. Flora and fauna is pretty much as the signage describes (though some of the signage can be a bit hard to decipher partly because of placement and partly because nature seems to be reclaiming it slowly).

This is a nice place for a walk, but be careful to stay in the trail as there is poison ivy all along the sides of the trails.

This is such a great corner of the marsh to just stroll along the boardwalk and observe the animals that live here
