To be honest the parking lot and access roads can be pot-holey but where in Thunder Bay isn't?
These guys have big ass yellow busses that ferry your kids around safely. So that's cool, right?

IR510 from kakabeka school is absolutely amazing!! Gets us to westgate safely! With without any problems!! And it was never late except the start of September, other than that!! It’s going really amazing!

We recently used Iron Range as our shuttle service for our wedding. We paid for the Charter Bus and it was a hit! Our guests couldn't stop talking about how comfortable and convenient our shuttle was. We didn't get a chance to meet the driver until the end of the night but he was polite, kind and professional. It was nice to meet him after our guests complimenting how he provided all information to them and a timely service at original departure. We also want to thank Aileen as our main contact at Iron Range who was friendly and easy to communicate with to set everything up.

S47 is a daily disaster. If it isn’t cancelled, it’s late.
There is never a regular driver for this route so numerous times my child’s stop has been skipped without picking up, and sometimes without dropping off my child.

We have also been called and reprimanded about being outside waiting for our child, and that our child was going to be returned to the school for pick up. Which was odd considering our child was already home that day, she was picked up directly from the school. I hope whoever’s kid that was made it home safely.

My child has cried and pleaded not to be put on the bus, so we do our best to walk her to and from school, but that interferes with our professional lives.

Something needs to be done here to hire and retain quality drivers familiar with their routes and students.

Tired of the bus cancellations, reached out via email and did not get a response back. It seems to me like the current bus driver doesn't want to get up in the morning's, since the AM bus is often cancelled and the PM is running. Not to mention the frequent supposed breakdowns of one particular bus. Seems like nothing is being done to fix the driver shortage and mechanical issues. I also don't appreciate being told my son was problematic on the bus, and that he was reported and to expect a phone call by the principal,when it was a different kid with the same name. The driver wouldn't even look at my kid to verify the identity and gave me the last name of the other child from his list. I feel that if you're going to install cameras on the bus, consent should be sent to the parents, or at least notified in advance, instead I was told by the driver it had been installed.

We used Iron Range Bus to move our sports team around Thunder Bay. We had two different drivers (Ross and Tom) and both were very accommodating and friendly, as was Aileen. I have no hesitation recommending.

Ironrange provided public charter services for us this past weekend for the national student conference that we hosted. Their drivers were pleasant & professional, buses were clean & in good condition, and Janice in their main office was beyond excellent, working with us to manage our complex contract & coordinating buses. For their drivers and Janice, I highly recommend IronRange.

The only problem was that over the weekend when Janice wasn't at work, the weekend dispatcher became confused & sent a driver to the wrong location - and then proceeded to be entirely unhelpful when I called to sort it out. I understand that our contract was complex, but he really didn't have a handle on where his buses were and refused to send a replacement shuttle to transport our attendees while he located the missing bus. Ultimately this wasn't a big issue, and lead to less than an hour's delay for our attendees, but it could've been better handled and I was disappointed in this aspect of Iron Range's work on this contract.

Overall - I still highly recommend Iron Range as a bus provider & charter contractor. The small bump in the road of a single lost/late bus over the entire weekend was a very small issue in an otherwise perfectly executed & very complex contract.Their drivers were great, and Janice in their main office is a superstar.

My grandson is riding on s47 and told me there is a swastika on the bus. He told the bus driver about it and the bus driver said he already informed the company about it ,and asked for it be removed.

It's been a few weeks already and nothing was done about it. This is unacceptable.
