Accueil charmant. Coquette maison située dans un quartier résidentiel.Parking devant l'entrée. Voiture indispensable. Belle chambre trés claire et très propre avec lit double,charmante avec tout plein d'ours en déco.Salle de bains privative. Vue sur le jardin et la mer avec balcon.A disposition café, thé et friandises. Bon petit déjeuner avec fruits et une nouveauté pur nous croissants aux oeufs.Très convivial avec notre hotesse et autres voyageurs.Celle-ci aime es animaux et nous avons pu voir ecureuils et oiseaux sur sa terrasse.

Bon accueil de la propriétaire. Nous avons été un peu surpris par le fait qu'il fallait enlever les chaussures à l'entrée. Chambre très petite se composant de deux lits simples mais avec tout le confort nécessaire (radiateur d'appoint, cafetière). Vue sur le jardin. Salle de bains attenante suffisamment grande. Le tout très propre. Petit déjeuner composé de fruits frais, très bon gâteau maison, jus de fruit, café (américain) et, moins appétissant pour nous européen, un croissant rempli d'oeufs brouillés. Très bien pour une nuit à Nanaimo avant de prendre la route pour Tofino.

This is a lovely home in a quiet area of Nanaimo. Darlene is friendly and gracious and her home is very clean. The garden is spectacular and the view from the deck overlooking the sea with the mainland coast as a backdrop is delightful. Sitting on the deck in the evening watching the sunset was one of the trip hightlights. The room was comfortable and the house quiet away from traffic noise. o. We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts too. Darlene's home was a reminder of days when interaction with the host was one of the best parts of the B&B experience.

La casa es de una señora mayor que la tiene muy cuidada y limpia. La decoración es muy antigua, como la señora. La habitación muy pequeña y el baño está fuera de la habitación. Está cerca del mar y tiene una terraza preciosa. El desayuno estaba bien.

We cherished our time with Darlene and were sad to leave. Darlene was a fantastic host and showed great hospitality throughout our stay. Our breakfasts were delicious, with a large platter of fruit served each day, along with a variety of hot food, coffee and juice. She changed our towels and sheets regularly as well and kept her home immaculately clean. She also generously invited us to her sumptuous Christmas feast, which we were honoured to attend. Our room was very comfortable and came with tea making facilities and cable tv. We slept very well each night in cosy warm beds. We are going to miss Darlene and we highly recommend a stay with Darlene if in Nanaimo.

We stayed one night at this B&B. Darlene clearly has a green thumb as she has a fabulous garden. She served us a delicious breakfast and the view of the ocean from her dining table, was simply spectacular. Our bedroom was quite small, but very clean. It was served by an equally clean bathroom, which was not in suite, but adjacent. However, the bathroom was private in the sense that we did not have to share it with any other guests, and there was a curtain that you could draw to "separate" the bathroom and bedroom from the rest of the house. Darlene was very sweet and hospitable. There was, however, one very unexpected situation that was quite stressful - there was no way to lock the bedroom door from the outside if we wanted to go out, because Darlene did not have a key for the door. This was a security issue because we were not the only guests at the B&B, so anyone could have accessed the room while we were out. However, Darlene did not appear to comprehend that this was a problem. This unfortunate situation led to us staying inside the tiny bedroom the entire evening although we had planned on going for a long hike to enjoy the lovely surroundings on what was a glorious summer day. Had we known about this issue in advance, we would not have booked this B&B. It is easy enough to get a key cut for the room, and we highly recommend that the owner do this so that guests can have an enjoyable stay.
