WONDERFUL URBAN LAKE AND PARK. Surrounded by urban wildlife and people enjoying the beautiful water and the peaceful late summer time. We had a nice kayak time, sharing the water with nice birds and water sun enthusiasts. The park is beautiful urban green area beside the lake with walking paths, picnic tables and a lot of options for parking and restaurants. Just few spots with available beach area.

Had a great walk along the waterfront to the park. The park is very nicely planned. A lovely place to meet people, go for a stroll or to listen to music when they have people there to play music.

Just outside of Calgary, lies the village of Chestermere. Long time Calgarians have watched this place grow from some cabins and farms into the thriving community it has become.
One of the town's features is the lake. While there was a water hole here, it has been helped along the way to become this beautiful busy little lake.
On the north part of the town along the westside of the lake, lies the John Peake Memorial Park. This is a fantastic place for a nice walk. The pathway starts at the boat ramp and continues along the lake up to the highway. To be truthful I have never gone that far.
The park has a lovely gazebo gazebo and picnic area.
If you follow the paved path passed the library, you will come to the off leash area. This area is loved by dogs! Stella and I have met some very nice dogs and their owners in this park. It is a fave place of ours to walk for this reason.
Grab a coffee and take a stroll along the lake. It is good for your soul.

Lovely park, great boat launch for kayaks and the like. There are a number of benches, spots with shade and it showcases the Chestermere Lake well.

Many seasonal events to take part in and a number of Pokestops if you’re into that. It leads to the library and a vast dog park.
