Absolutely couldn't be happier with the friendly staff and how quickly they were able to arrange my last-minute JR Pass!

(Don't do what I did and wait till the last minute. But if you also arranged your travel plans last-minute they might be able to help you out. In my case they were able to arrange my JR pass in a few hours. After arriving at their location they told me I could order the pass online and they would have it ready for me by the end of the day. The came through on their promise.)

I have nothing but good things to say about them. Thank you JTB.

Impatient staff with minimal assistant - I dropped by to ask about JR passes and availability on a weekday afternoon, the male staff on duty was very impatient and did not provide any help or information whatsoever (at one point he even sign loudly at me) - instead, he emphasize they only sell the JR redemption voucher there and all questions/bookings/inquires should be directed to the JR counter when I pick up the pass in Japan. But I wanted to know about the details before spending $200+ on a pass!!! Recommend for other travelers to book online themselves and to research online/YouTube instead of going to J-Station.

I sadly misunderstood that I had to order my JR pass online to my home and then activate it in Japan, yikes! The website couldn't deliver it guaranteed in under 2 weeks, so I looked for local places where I could get it done.
JTB had my order ready the following day at 1pm. And! It's cheaper to do it this way and pick it up rather than through the JR website (order on a weekday during buisness hours.)
It was super quick and super helpful, and I saved so much money with the JR pass in Japan!
Just make sure you hold onto the records and have it accessible when you enter Japan and then you can activate it at the airport JR Station office, they are super helpful.
Very grateful Places like this still exist! The website gives you all the information you need to know 🙂

The go-to place for JR Japan Passes in Metro Vancouver. Polite and very helpful staff and no lineup. I filled out the order form on their computer, paid by credit card, it was processed immediately and my Exchange Order (Voucher) issued on-the-spot. They will give you some basic instructions on where and how to exchange the voucher for the JR Japan Pass once you arrive in Japan. You can even do this at the arrival airport. Price was exactly the same as buying online japan-rail-pass.ca. The only downside is that their office is a little hard to find. If you enter from the Burrard Street entrance of the Fairmont Hotel (formerly Hotel Vancouver) then find the stairs to the basement on the left. The JTB office will be the first one on the right as you enter the long hallway.

I went here to buy my JR pass for my Japan trip. The staff was really friendly and answered all my questions. They also gave me a few handouts with useful information on where to collect my pass once I arrive in Japan. The office is in the basement of the l Fairmont Hotel; just follow the signs once you're in the lobby.

Poor service at the JTB last Wednesday. We went to pick up the JR pass paperwork. Male employee scolded us for being in the waiting area. It was bizarre as it's not a large office. No greetings before or after and he then refused to answer questions that we had. Then he walked away.

Staff were helpful in preparing our exchange orders for the Japan Rail Passes. At JR Shinjuku Station, we exchanged the orders to obtain our JR Rail Passes and reserved our seats on the Shin Kansen (Hikari) to and from Osaka. JTB website also provided a discount for Ninja Pocket Wifi rental.
