I had a wonderful retreat at Kirkman House Bed and Breakfast in February 2024. Ellen is a great hostess. She very kindly hung the sheets outside in advance of my arrival because of a scent allergy. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with a lovely view. The breakfasts were fantastic. Proximity to the old growth forest at Gilles Grove was a plus for me.

This is really a jewel in the Ottawa valley! There are many interresting attractions in the historic town of Arnprior that are just a short walk away from Kirkman House. We were fortunate enough to stay at Christmas time and were delighted by the lovely Christmas decorations in this victorian manor. Our very large, beautifull room was very confortable with plenty of room for us and our baby son. Breakfast in the lovely dining room was delicious and quite copious considering the very reasonnable rate we were paying. Helen, the hostess, was wonderfull and extremely accomodating, even offering to take our son on a personal guided tour of the house so we could peacefully enjoy our breakfast together. We had a memorable stay and will definately be back. We would higly reccomend staying here to anyone travelling through the region as a more relaxing alternative to Ottawa or as a gettaway in itself.

We stayed at the Kirkman House for 3 nights. It is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood in the town of Arnprior. The home and the grounds were incredible. The rooms are very clean and spacious with a beautiful decor. The hostess, Ellen was warm and welcoming and her breakfast's were outstanding. We look forward to staying there again soon.

Kirkman House is a lovely home situated on a treed, quiet street with rare old "bones" that take you back in time. Ellen's hospitality and breakfasts were superb and we felt at home immediately. Our room was spacious, spotless and wonderfully appointed with high ceilings and a nice view. I recommend Kirkman House to anyone seeking a first class B&B experience in a setting you won't soon forget.

Ellen was a great host, and went out of her way to find information and possibilities for when I moved to town. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable and cozy. To top it off the breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel or restaurant. Would recommend Kirkman house to anyone.

Really enjoyed our 1 night stay in this lovely, period home. Our room was big, comfortable and very charming. In the morning, Ellen our wonderful hostess, cooked up a delicious breakfast and along with her gentle dog, Whiskey ensured our stay was full of wonderful memories to take home. My husband and I try to get away from our business (which is by the way also a B&B) once a month and this time we chose the Kirkman House B&B in Arnprior. Ellen the owner is a very nice lady who does everything to please her guests. She was so kind to prepare a very generous organic breakfast that consisted of quinoa, eggs and a variety of steamed vegetables. As well as fresh organic fruits and juice and coffee.||The two of us could just not finish all of it. Thanks Ellen for all your efforts !!||The house is furnished with period furniture. We had a room with a king bed and as far as I understood do all rooms offer an ensuite bathroom.||The house still have those beautiful old doors and stunning original woodwork around the doors and windows.||We had a great stay it was just cut too short. ||We would love to visit Ellen and her beautiful house again when we are in the vicinity.

My wife and I along with our Jack Russell stayed in this beautiful old mansion near the beach in Arnprior. We were warmly welcomed by Ellen and her dog Whiskey. Our room was big, beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the perked coffee was perfect. Would definitely stay there again should we return to Arnprior.
