Joe and Linda at La Barraca at Base 31 in Picton, Ontario, have once again outdone themselves! We recently celebrated a birthday there, and they truly went above and beyond to make our evening incredibly special.
The food, as always, was absolutely incredible, but what really set this experience apart was their thoughtful hospitality. Joe and Linda took the wonderful liberty of creating off-menu dishes specifically for our celebration, which made our experience feel truly unique and personalized. It's that kind of attention to detail and genuine care that keeps us coming back.

The reviews are all correct! Joe and Linda put love into all their food at La Baracca at Base31. We first discovered them last year visiting from the UK and once back this year it was the first place our son wanted to go to for their amazing chicken sandwich! Homemade pesto and everything freshly prepared. We also couldn’t pass up the arancini! I wasn’t quick enough to get a photo before it was demolished. Everything on their menu is amazing - we make a point of going there for the top quality food and knowing that we get a moment with these special people. La Baracca also now have some pastas and sauce in the Agrarian Market which is great to see! If you are looking for some lovely food, made my genuinely talented and kind people and want to check out Base31 you must go to La Baracca! It is an absolute star at Base31 which brings people to them again and again for good reason!

So so so good. We got the arancini balls and the chicken sandwich and both were very delicious. The chef brought out our food and explained all the ingredients which made it even more enjoyable. Definitely worth a try.

Wow! What a fantastic sandwhich that is full of flavour. Have eaten here several times and always leave full and happy. Joe and Lynda are simply the best, very warm and welcoming and create an enjoyable atmosphere that has you looking forward to your next visit. A must try when visiting the county!

Was running late for a concert and stopped into La Barraca for a quick bite—so glad we did! Joe and Lynda were incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations and somehow managing to whip up an amazing meal in no time. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was fast without sacrificing quality. We left full, happy, and on time for the show. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing. The owners are a sweet couple. They are very kind, welcoming and amazing chiefs! I ordered this special off the menu meatball sandwich. They have a fancy name for it but it was spectacular. I love the simple

This is one of those burgers you’ll take one bite of and have to take a second to collect yourself before thinking “I don’t want this meal to be over”. Service is always incredible & Lynda and Joe are the best!!!
