Superbe endroit. Le lac est génial et offre un très grand choix de terrain. Il faut cepednant s'assurer de pouvoir louer nos canots avant d'effectuer al location du terrain. Nous nous sommes fait prendre 4 jours avant notre départ parce qu'ils n'avaient plus de canots et nous avons dû en louer ailleurs, suivant 85$ pour la livraison (x2 pour le retour). Comme il est possible d'amener sa propre embarcation, la location des canots n'est pas automatique avec la réservation du terrain. Aussi, nous devons réserver notre terrain sur le site avec une carte du lac qui n'est pas très à l'échelle. Nous avions donc le terrain 200 mais nous nous sommes rendu compte, une fois sur place, que le 200 est en fait une section du lac qui comprendre environ 10 terrains. C'est donc le principe du premier arrivé, premier servis. La carte nous disait environ 4 km pour arriver au site (google map) et nous avons dû faire au plus 2 km pour s'y rendre.

Stayed in the South Arm on Opeongo Lake this past weekend. Stunning views! Blueberry island is a cool spot. Saw a float plane land off shore, tonnes of loons, entertaining watching the water taxis zipping around. Did the portage to Proulx Lake last year, also amazing!! A lot more privacy on Proulx. Be extra careful in the backcountry if you haven’t paddled or camped in Algonquin. Be prepared, be informed, know your limits! Party of 9 paddled in the site beside us, just a mess. If the wake picked up, it could have been a disaster.

Employees were helpful with info once we lost service on the outfitters road. Had a hot french vanilla coffee after packing up in the rain, beauty! Much appreciated. Need more Opeongo swag & stickers in store, can get Algonquin stuffs anywhere else. Prices were a bit high, but im old and cheap, i guess. Much love and thank you, park employees!

Hired Opeongo Outfitters to bring us from the east arm access point out to Annie’s Bay. Awesome 4 days with not a human in sight. Just fishing, swimming, canoeing and father son bonding . Highly recommend!

This lake is so beautiful! Come on a weekday, there are so few people, you will feel that you have the place to yourself. We rented kayaks at the office. $35 for a single, $45 for a double for the whole day. The only one flaw was having to use the outhouse, that was brutal.

Great spot for day trips or overnight camping! The canoe rentals are very reasonable and they have a variety of sizes. Beautiful lake.

Very friendly and helpful staff working at office. Rates are resonable as well. We took the 10 seater kayak, it was easy to ride but we had a person guiding us to paddle in right direction. Once you're some distance away from office in water, the breeze was really good. It was very relaxing.

Great spot to take off on your outdoor adventure, but millennials beware... there's no cell service here! lol My group of friends enjoyed the ferry service going to and from the docks. Along the side of one of the buildings, there's a handy spot to fill up with potable water before/after your trip.
