nice family room for the price, very clean, the room had everything you needed!

When I walked into the small, dingy front office to check in, I wondered what kind of place this would be. The staff member there was friendly, and I'd heard that everything in Thunder Bay was sold out, so I went ahead.||The room was spotlessly clean, quiet, with comfortable beds and lots of hot water. I didn't get one of the kitchenette units, so I can't comment on those. But this was a fine place to stay overall if you aren't ooking for a large room or fashionable accommodation.

After being put up in a flooded room by the Ramada Inn. I was in need of a room in very short notice. Tuesday being one of the busiest days here for booking it was a challenge. Owner had accommodations for 4 and was very understandable. Rooms are modernized and clean. Beds were freshly made before arrival and upon waking in the morning .. no bug bites. Awesome little motel would stay again. Price wise can't beat it here locally

Great place for great price. Better than i expected.
For 90 bucks for 2 we got 2 nice beds, fridge, microwave, own temperature control in the room.
The bathroom is also nice and new. But didn't take pics.

VERY VERY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE The rooms were pretty dirty with hairs in the corners and weird smell. When complained to owner about that they were mad on us and told us they cleaned it and so on. Main part was that, he had an extremely poor attitude for dealing with customer and complaint. He literally told us to get out of the room as we checked out early. Thats was the bad part which i don’t liked, a business person cannot talk like that to his customer.
Wouldn’t recommend to anybody at all.

While not the nicest rooms I've stayed in it was very affordable and it was clean. Some hotels in this price range do not meet this most basic standard. Owner was pleasant and allowed me to look at the room prior to paying. No parties, or any other disturbances.

Stayed here last night after staying at the Super 8 Friday night. Super 8 room we had was horrible. ||||Our room at the Lakehead was amazing!||||I'm picky so I checked my sheets, the bed, behind the bed, night table, etc because at some of our stays at other hotels, I found dried snot on my suppose to be clean sheets and other gross things. Also I am paranoid about bed bugs since some Thunder Bay hotels have been known to have them. Sheets were clean, no signs of bugs. Whole room was clean!! Bathroom is newly updated and really nice. They give you lots of shampoo and conditioner so you don't have to go ask for more which is awesone when there's a few who need to shower. Had lots of towels too. Other hotels we've stayed at only gives you a tiny bottle of both, so I've always had to go ask for more. Lots of room in our suite. We had a two bed suite with a kitchen area, big fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, etc. I also love that the room wasn't all carpet. And were it was carpet, it was clean, with no stains. ||||I'd rather stay here than the Super 8 or some of the other hotels! Will book here again with absolutely no hesitation! ||||Perfect for a family stay!
