The rooms are everything you need. Clean, comfortable, microwave, fridge, AC, etc.

To the reviewer who was upset about a hole in the wall: yeah, the building is old, and a tiny hole in the wall means they’d have to tear down all the wallpaper and entirely refinish the room. You’re not paying Hilton prices, but rather one of the cheapest in the area. Don’t expect a palace. Expect some wear and tear. The staff clearly care about smaller details and do everything within their means to make the place clean, comfortable and convenient. As I said, you get everything you need.

The service is great. A cleaner mistakenly took my shower things from the room and dropped them off at the front desk. I never had a chance to pick my things up because I left before the office was open for checkout. The staff carefully packaged everything and promptly mailed it back to me. They sent pictures of the items and the package. They even put a $20 in the package for the inconvenience.

The location is amazing. What amenities aren’t within walking distance?! Or a short bus ride?! Awesome coffee shop around the corner.

I was very curious what to expect after reading some of the reviews. The room was clean, had a fridge and microwave which was convenient. I was very comfortable and didn't hear any noise from neighbouring rooms. Some wear and tear present, the bathroom fan had no cover, the bathroom baseboards need repair, some chipped paint around the door. Nothing that interfered with the stay though. The cable TV was a little fuzzy on some channels but my visit isn't to watch TV. Check in was easy, staff was friendly. Considering the cost of hotels in the lower mainland, this was definitely the best value for my dollar.

I have stayed at Langley Hwy Hotel multiple times over the last 5 years, and my conclusion is a contrarian one: the subdued ratings of this hotel are, in my view, undeserved and very often based on "judging cow by the dung instead of the milk it gives". I give the hotel 4 stars for a whole bunch of essential reasons that I very often miss in "nice and tidy" expensive hotels.
This little hotel has very good REAL advantages: there is stupid formalism that you encounter in so many expensive hotels, everything related to check-in, check-out and help quick, simple and friendly. Taking into account the unimaginably low price for one of the most expensive areas in areas in Canada, the hotel has an absolutely fantastic location for my taste.

Anyone who wants to stop for a couple of nights in Langley (especially not go too close to the ugly monstrosity of Vancouver but still be in the surroundings of Vancouver where there are many main things to see and visit) will find that this hotel is just a few minutes from the Trans Canada highway - you get it immediately after taking your exit from the highway. But it is located in an area pretty well packed with all kinds of breakfast facilities, eateries, little stores etc.

Despite the totally bustling urban area it is situated in, the hotel itself is located marvelously in "hidden pocket of park": it stays around 100 m from the streets, and "sunk" into a marvelous little park of Big Cedars - you can't even see or expect that this park exist when driving the nearby streets. Because of that, it is really QUIET, no noise, and the park itself, for me, creates coziness and protection from the urban hustle and bustle. For me the location wonderfully secluded and intimate - but all the urban amenities just a 5 min walk away.

The hotel needs some "cosmetic" investment, but everything is FUNCTIONAL and present - I can give a big list of how many super expensive hotels in cities like Toronto or Vancouver I visited where "cosmetics" are good and the freaking water or toilet doesn't. No way it can happen here that you book and pay for a room for a family and then they tell you that we don't have that room, basically just playing games, or that they will charge you for the internet separately, after charging you already 300 a night etc - those things that happened to me in the most "reputable" expensive hotels.

The potential of this hotel with its location is high - it has a room for development, but it is MUCH better, in my view, than those ratings I see based on form not on substance.

I find it a little hard to rate this hotel. It is a little dated and could use some upgrades. The staff are nice and seem to care. Some of the patrons seem to have difficulty making ends meet but are okay. Rooms are clean. Location is quite away from town but lots of services nearby. This is the second time I have stayed here and if I am in the area I will likely stay here again.

I stayed 1 night on June 25. The room was very dirty, the carpet was damp, the walls had many torn and patched wallpaper. The door is old, the faucet is dripping water even though it is locked. In general, the bedroom is very bad compared to the money I had to spend. An experience not worth having.

The room is very dirty and the pictures on the reservations looks complete different. I found more than 8 human body hair in the sheet and pillows and there is no hot water for shower no security bolt lock . It's terrible loud and the rain gutter is broken and water splash every where in front of my hotel room for . The staff are nice but unprofessional dress and it looks like a family owned motel. No breakfast nor tea nor coffee in the room at all . Fading paint in the door and wall, broken wall paper on the wall. Mucus in the carpet and blanket. Most important thing is not cheap I paid almost $120 . It's out of my surprise how bad it is ! The worst and expensive hotel I have ever been to.

Gross room, we pulled a bunch of hair out of the shower drain because the basin wouldn't drain at all. Wallpaper was peeling and they give you the password to the nearby Travelodge because theirs is so bad.
